Just as a quick heads up: We’re not dead! Just a little inactive on the site while I’m occupied with other things, but I’ve still been actively posting small bits on the Facebook and Twitter pages.

Quite a lot has been going on with the development of Project Diva F for PS3, so hopefully this will help those who are confused or have been out of the loop. Check the full story for the full article. There’s quite a bit to cover. Continue reading »

As an update to last month’s article, the ordering and pricing information for the 2013 Snow Miku nendoroid has been announced. She also has a rather colorful name: Snow Miku: Strawberry White Kimono Ver.

International orders for the nendoroid will open up on February 10th at 5:00 PM JST, and will end on February 18th at 9:00 PM JST. This is the time period in which they can accept orders, but can always close early once they reach their maximum limit (such as in the case of the Hatsune Miku 2.0 nendoroid).

Pricing is set at 4,000 JPY ($46 USD) at the Good Smile Online Shop, with the shipping price set at 2,000 JPY ($23). There is a max limit of 3 orders per person, and the shipment date is scheduled for late June 2013. Once preorders open, you may find listings on amiami or hobby search for less, so keep your eyes peeled.

Starting on January 8th, the Nendoroid Append versions of Kagamine Rin and Len are now available for preorder. Prorders are available directly from Good Smile’s online store until February 6th at 9:00 PM JST.

The two Nendoroids do not come together and must be purchased individually. Both of them include three different expressions, several hand and limb accessories for various poses, and also a special stand that lets you pose both of them together, back-to-back (assuming you have both, of course).

Both Nendoroids can be ordered from Good Smile’s online store for 3500 JPY ($40 USD) each, along with a 2,000 JPY ($23) shipping fee for overseas buyers. The shipping price remains the same with up to five figures, or even if you buy Rin and Len together.

Should you choose to order from Amiami, you can find both Nendoroids (here and here) for only 2,680 JPY ($31 USD) each. However, shipping will vary depending on location and unit count. If you choose to buy just one, this is definitely the cheaper option.

Good Smile Company decided to surprise everyone on New Year’s Day with a new image on their Good Smile Racing homepage. There you will see an all new design for the 2013 Racing Miku. But for now, you will only get a backside view as a teaser.

The new outfit seems to borrow some of the characteristics from the 2012 design, while also bringing back some elements from the 2011 design. There’s also some new accents to the design, such as the addition of the crown and a new skirt. If what I hear is correct, we likely wont see the rest of the design until March.

As with the past designs, we can likely expect to see production of figures, Nendoroids and Figmas. For now, we can only imagine how her front side will look. The concept design was done by Shimazaki Mari, who was also the main character designer of Bayonetta, a game published by SEGA.
