What else happened during the week of June 20th that we missed? Here’s a quick wrap-up.

Hatsune Miku: Project Diva Future Tone has finally launched for the PlayStation 4! The release on June 22nd was met with much excitement, and there has been many, many screenshot shares via twitter and PS4share. You can find some of these on twitter under #DIVAFT, but most are not tagged in easy ways to find. With so many fans now given the freedom to customize characters in the game in any way they see fit, you can imagine some have gone a little crazy.

But as the tweet from @Quick_first above says, we’d like to say “Thank You” to SEGA for bringing the game to PS4. It’s available only via the Japanese PlayStation Network! The official trailer video can be seen below.

The previously teased WeGo X Frederator X Hatsune Miku figure has been confirmed for overseas sale exclusively at Anime Expo 2016 in Los Angeles! She’ll be available only via the Good Smile Company booth. Anime Expo will take place at the Los Angeles Convention Center between July 1st and 4th.

After the long wait, preorders of the Snow Miku Dollfie Dream have finally begun their journey to their new homes. Preorders began in February of 2015, so some have been waiting as long 16 months(!) to finally have her. Volks also gave some useful advice on their blog explaining that it’s a good idea to keep the box the wig comes in, as it’s useful for keeping it safe when being stored.

How many of you have reserved your own? Let us know!

After supporting Good Smile Racing’s race car team for 6 years, and their motorcycle team for two, Racing Miku made her debut as the support mascot for Good Smile Racing and TeamUKYO’s bicycle racing team in 2015! The design features Hatsune Miku in a sporty TeamUKYO bicyclist outfit with a Kuota branded bicycle. Illustrated by Taiki, the design is now being recreated in Figma form, complete with the figma-sized Kuota bicycle!

The 2015 Racing Miku is here to support TeamUKYO!

GOODSMILE RACING & TeamUKYO director Ukyo Katayama’s bicycle team is supported by Racing Miku! An all new Racing Miku figma wearing the cycling jersey used by the 2015 TeamUKYO team!

  • Using the smooth yet posable joints of figma, you can act out a variety of different scenes.
  • A flexible plastic is used for important areas, allowing proportions to be kept without compromising posability.
  • She comes with both a cool and composed expression as well as a smiling expression.
  • A drink bottle as well as a plastic model kit for a bicycle with certain parts prepainted are included.
  • An articulated figma stand is included, which allows various poses to be taken.

Good Smile Company’s online shop will be offering the figure for 7800 Yen ($75 USD) starting today, with preorders scheduled to end July 27th at 9:00 PM JST. The expected release is sometime in January 2017. She’s also available from these other online stores:

Want to show your love for Miku in big ways? Now you can with Good Smile Company’s newly announced Nendoroid Jumbo Hatsune Miku, releasing this summer at the 24th bi-yearly Wonder Festival event! Don’t confuse this Jumbo Miku for the previous Family Mart lottery prize figure (based on the original Miku nendoroid), this figure is based on the Nendoroid Hatsune Miku 2.0, and features interchangeable face plates, and articulated joints!

A huge Nendoroid Hatsune Miku just asking to be hugged!

As a part of the Good Smile Company 15th anniversary and Nendoroid 10th anniversary celebrations, the popular ‘Nendoroid Hatsune Miku’ is coming back in jumbo size – standing approximately 27cm in height!

The giant Nendoroid has all the features various interchangeable face plates and can take all sorts of poses just like its smaller counterpart! Even though it is much bigger, the unique form and cute expressions of the Nendoroid have been faithfully preserved creating the perfect anniversary item to celebrate the Nendoroid 10th Anniversary!!

She stands nearly 3X taller than Miku 2.0 at 27cm, and should weigh nearly 20X heavier as a result. Such size and features wont come cheap, however, as she is priced at 15,000 Yen ($144 USD). She will first be available at WonFes on July 24th in a limited quantity of 500 figures. After that, preorders will be accepted online from Good Smile Company’s own online shop from July 24th (4:00 PM JST) until August 1st 2016 (9:00 PM JST). Shipment is planned for November 2016.

If the recent tweets by Crypton Future Media’s staff are anything to go by, we can likely expect to hear about Hatsune Miku V4X’s software release very soon. CFM’s Wataru Sasaki says the main visual (artwork) for the software has pretty much been finalized, but may need some adjustment before release.

And for those wondering about another English voicebank, there is one planned for inclusion in the software, and this time it will be much more similar to the Japanese voicebank in terms of pitch and tone. This should hopefully satisfy many fans complaints and gripes with the original English software release from 2013.

Hatsune Miku’s V4X software was planned for a Summer 2016 release, so we can expect it any time now. Stay tuned for the big announcements coming soon!
