During their interviews of overseas tourists in Japan, the Japanese television broadcast “Why did you come to Japan?” has recently bumped into Hatsune Miku fans not just once, but twice on their show! The interviews were clearly around the period of Magical Mirai 2017, which likely brought more overseas visitors than any previous events.

The first interview was broadcasted on October 2nd interviewed two male Miku fans from America. One of them has a 12 monitor studio set up, all with Hatsune Miku wallpapers! The second interview on October 9th was with a female fan named Saya Scarlet from Russia (YouTube channel here), who also leads a major Russian Miku fan community. The creativity in Hatsune Miku community surely comes in many forms from Pancake art creations to Hatsune Miku 10th anniversary advertisement project, but for the world’s largest GPS drawing artist “Yassan”, he went further and off the usual scale.

In late September this year, the world’s largest GPS drawing artist “Yassan” created a large-scale GPS drawing of Hatsune Miku across Japan. The gigantic drawing covered a total distance of 1160.99 km (721 miles) and took 54 days in total to near completion, with a few bits of her hair bands left.

On June 9th, 2010, Yassan (real name: Yasushi Takahashi) created the world’s largest GPS drawing spelling out “Marry Me” to propose to his girlfriend. The drawing covered over 7,163.67 km (4,451 miles) across Japan, and caught attention of many around the world. Fortunately, she said ‘yes’. In a few years later he was awarded the Guinness World Record for the largest GPS drawing by an individual.

For Hatsune Miku fans in Malaysia and nearby countries, yesterday was the day most anticipated by many as ticket sales for Miku Expo 2017 in Malaysia had finally begun. The tickets immediately sold out in less than fifteen minutes, but there were also concerns and difficulties throughout the process raised by many.

Below is the quote addressing the matter from the official Facebook page today.

Good News! We’ve received an update from MYTICKETASIA and more seats will be released in the next few days! Due to the high demand and international purchases, fans who have purchased tickets and have an iPay88 confirmation will receive their tickets by Wednesday, 6pm. This delay is caused by OTP issues and Fraud Protection screening by iPay88. We’re really sorry about the delay, we will update everyone soon on a new date for ticket sales.

The new date for ticket sales is not known yet, but we’re expecting it to arrive soon.

EDIT: Ticket sales have been announced for October 12th at 14:00 (local Malaysia time). Don’t miss this chance!

We’re now approaching near the end of the season with the conclusion of the round 7th at Chang international circuit this weekend, plus a refreshing result for the team to boot; Goodsmile Racing places 2nd in the race, and currently takes the lead in 2017 series point ranking.

In early April this year, Goodsmile Racing won the first race of the 2017 Super GT series (and in fact we wrote about about it). It was the team’s first victory of the season since 2014, and served as a very good start of the season. Many fans held hope to see the team wins their 3rd championship since 2011 and 2014.

Perhaps winning the 3rd championship isn’t a distance goal now?

The next and the final round will soon take place at Twin Ring Motegi in Motegi, Japan on November 11th~12th. Fight, GSR!
