The early prototype design of Hatsune Miku with a ponytail by KEI, named “Hatsune Miku if”, has been made into a Nendoroid and is ready to preorder!

A “What if?” version of Hatsune Miku from an alternate reality.
From “Character Vocal Series 01: Hatsune Miku” comes a Nendoroid of Hatsune Miku based on an illustration by KEI from the art exhibition “Hatsune Miku Chronicle”. Based on the theme “What if a design without twintails was chosen for the original Hatsune Miku design?”, the ponytailed version of Hatsune Miku has been brought into Nendoroid form!

She comes with three face plates including a standard expression, a singing expression and an adorable angry expression with puffed out cheeks. A mic stand and a software box based on what could have been are both included as optional parts! Be sure to add this alternate reality version of Hatsune Miku to your collection!

Good Smile Company has started an all-new figure line called HELLO! GOOD SMILE, which features characters in a simple yet charming style, and for very low prices. The first characters available in this series are Kagamine Rin, Kagamine Len, and of course, Hatsune Miku!

The first Hatsune Miku Nendoroid based on Project SEKAI, the smartphone game from SEGA and Colorful Palette, is finally here and now available for preorder!

“Turn around here and wink! ♡”
From the smartphone game project “Project SEKAI Colorful Stage! feat.Hatsune Miku” comes a Nendoroid of Hatsune Miku from the SEKAI of the Stage! She comes with three face plates including a winking expression, a gently smiling singing expression and an adorable smiling expression. Optional parts include her microphone, a three-leaf clover effect part and an uchiwa cheering fan for cheering on other idols! Miku’s outfit from the game has been carefully recreated in Nendoroid form! Be sure to add her to your collection!

The Nendoroid is now available for preorder from Good Smile Company’s online shop for 5,800 JPY ($58.99 USD), and is available to preorder until August 5th at 12:00 PM JST. She’s expected to ship out in December 2021. Preorders from Good Smile Company’s online shops will also include an exclusive four-leaf clover effect part. After successful launches of several versions of Hatsune Miku in Good Smile Company’s Nendoroid Doll series, they’re now looking towards officially adopting a fan-created Nendoroid Doll design to celebrate the 3rd anniversary of the series in November 2021!

Good Smile Company is looking for designs from artists around the world to be used in an upcoming Nendoroid Doll Hatsune Miku release. The theme for this art contest is “Win Everyone’s Hearts ♡ Date Outfit Coordination“! (Alternatively, “A date outfit that will strike him/her in the heart “)

Precautions

  • Please note that detailed expressions and elements may be difficult to recreate in 3D/fabric, so some details may have to be omitted.
  • Please avoid using an excessive amount of shapes, patterns and colors, as this makes recreation in figure form more difficult.
  • Please make sure to lock your submission tag.
  • Please note that some modifications may be made to the chosen design.
  • Please avoid placing any text information on the submission. However, the corresponding character arm tattoos (i.e., “01”) is fine.
  • Derivative characters (i.e, Snow Miku and Mikudayo) are not eligible for selection.
  • Please remember to post your submission without any license conditions (check example above).
  • The adopted work will require data to be converted to CMYK for printing. Please note this might result in some slight color change.

Hatsune Miku Expo 2021 Online has finally come to a close! The online event featured three concert broadcasts to cover various time zones, and several Digital Stars DJ events to pass the time between concert showings. Below is a recap of the broadcast contents, and some of the new upcoming merch teased during the event!

The full concert spanned nearly 90 minutes and broadcasted a total of 3 times to cover time zones for viewers around the world. 16 songs were featured, some classics, and some new ones! Check out the full setlist below:

In-between the concerts, there was also the Let’s Paint 3.0 activities, and the Digital Stars DJ Live performances before each concert showing. These DJ Lives featured DJs from the U.S. (Tokyo Elvis & Flanger Moose), Japan (Utsu-P & PinocchioP), and the EU (Vault Kid & KIRA).

Alphamax has announced they’ll be creating a scale figure based on the Miku Expo 2021 main visual art by Ryota sometime in the near future. For now, we just have the 3D render prototype reveal, but no other details such as the scale size, release dates, etc. So stay tuned for updates on that!

Tokyo Otaku Mode has announced an upcoming exclusive Hatsune Miku figure, designed by LAM. What’s unique about this already cool-looking design is that a jacket based on the one Miku is wearing will also be made available alongside the figure! Further details of course will be announced at a future date.
