It’s been a confusing 24 hours, but after some back and forth communication with official sources, we can finally confirm that the heavily spread “China Miku Project” is indeed a real thing!

An official poster board and fliers distributed at the currently on-going Miku Expo event in Shanghai advertise the website poppro.cn, which teases a Hatsune Miku V4 Chinese voicebank development (original image seen above). The website has since updated asking users to please wait for additional updates.

Confirmation comes from a quick briefing with Hiroyuki Itoh, Crypton Future Media’s CEO. We’re extremely sorry for the confusion!

Can you imagine a world where Hatsune Miku gives daily traffic update reports? Thanks to a collaboration between Vocaloid producer “TakaP” and illustrator “bob“, along with some Live2D software magic, we can now enjoy what that would be like.

Using bob’s recent Live2D model submission, TakaP had some fun creating a parody traffic report broadcast, based upon a real broadcast by “bayfm Traffic Updates”. There’s even English closed captions. Enjoy the original video below!

Prepare for the biggest Hatsune Miku game ever released: Hatsune Miku: Project Diva Future Tone will be arriving in the West on January 10th, 2017! It will be available for download for the PlayStation 4 in the Americas and Europe on the same day, and comes with over 200 songs and 300 modules when you combine the two halves of the game.

What is Future Tone? It’s the largest Hatsune Miku game yet, with 200+ songs and 300+ costumes for Miku and her digital friends to play around with. Plus, it’s the arcade incarnation of the Hatsune Miku games, meaning there’s a slightly different control scheme. It’s more of the same great Miku action across five difficulty levels (If you’ve been nailing songs from Project DIVA X on EXTREME, just wait until you load up EXTRA EXTREME in Future Tone.)

Future Tone is a collection of two song packages each priced at $29.99: ‘Future Sound,’ a collection of songs centered around the Project DIVA games and ‘Colorful Tone’ which collects songs related to the Project Mirai games and arcade songs. For those who can’t get enough of the digital singer, there’s a special discount price of $53.99 for those who purchase the bundle containing both packages. European prices will be commensurate to the US Dollar pricing.

Hatsune Miku: VR Future Live is out now!

It’s time to put on your shiny new PlayStation®VR headset to witness the greatest show in virtual reality, because Hatsune Miku: VR Future Live is out now! The game will transport you to a massive arena full of screaming Miku fans for a concert experience unlike anything you’ve ever seen before. You’ll need to get your fanboy/girl on to help out Miku and charge the stage’s voltage by moving your controller in time with the crowd. Plus, don’t forget to shout some encouragement to her (seriously) as building her voltage up will unlock easter eggs. After three songs, Miku will even do a special solo encore performance just for you!

The 1st Stage is out now and contains the following seven tracks:

  • Love Trial by 40mP
  • 1/6 – out of the gravity – by noa
  • Satisfaction by kz
  • Weekender Girl by kz & Hachioji P
  • 39 by DECO*27 & sasakure.UK
  • Cute Medley – Idol Sounds by Mitchie M
  • Love Song by Lamaze-P

Hatsune Miku: VR Future Live is now available as a free download on PlayStation®Network, but players will need to purchase Stages in order to play any content. There will be a total of three stages that can be purchased for $14.99 or as a season pass bundle for $39.99 (you’re saving money with the bundle, just saying) in the Americas. European prices will be commensurate and more information about the 2nd and 3rd Stages will be revealed at a later date.

The VR-enabling patch for Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA X is also live. The free patch allows players to watch concerts they’ve created with the Concert Editor in VR. Although the rhythm gameplay won’t be present, players will get a thrilling glimpse of what Miku is like in the world of virtual reality!

If you aren’t sold yet, why not download the demo now and see what all the fuss is about? The demo contains a tutorial and one song (Weekender Girl by kz & Hachioji P) that will give you an exciting look at what it’s like to watch the world’s most popular digital diva perform in virtual reality. If you’re STILL on the fence, just check out/download the electric launch trailer below! Official website: http://miku.sega.com/vrfuturelive/
