Following the announcement of Hatsune Miku’s Chinese voicebank development, the first Chinese demo song has been played at a panel at Miku Expo in Shanghai, China. Our partner site VNN was able to capture a sample of the demo. Check it out below!

Barring the reduced quality of the recording, what do you guys think of it?

I have heard of this song and i understand chinese. I’m surprised to see miku singing in chinese and it is amazing that her pronunciation is pretty accurate. Omg!! I hope to see miku singing chinese songs in the future ^^

This will only add more songs to get already insanely large song library and who knows perhaps she could song in more languages in a distant future.

I’d be down for Miku V5 Korean someday. We’d finally have good Korean Vocaloid other than (hopefully) UNI.

  • Interesting, I would like to hear her singing in Spanish some day, that would be awesome.

  • Erick G. Ocampo

Spanish while unlikely it would be very interesting since Japanese and Spanish share the same sounds in pronunciation, me a native Spanish speaker had a relatively easy time practicing Japanese in the speaking part at least.

  • I know, its pretty easy the speaking for us, I’ve been learning too.

Oh my god! Holy cannoli, her pronunciation is pretty much spot on. Nice song choice too! Smart marketing, folk songs are pretty popular in China. 芬芳美丽满枝桠! (Beautiful aroma fills the branch), well Miku is my favorite Jasmine flower 🙂
(Name of the song is Jasmine Flower if anyone’s interested)
Dunno how voicebanks are recorded but I’m sure it wasn’t easy for Fujita san, good work!!

My friend…in the Miku USA Expo 2016 album, there is a Spanish track.

  • Erick G. Ocampo

Actually there’s 2 Spanish songs in that album: Miku Mambo and All music. In All music Miku sings in Spanish with a bit of English and Japanese
