As was previously hinted, there is now official confirmation that the Hatsune Miku Expo 2020 USA & Canada tour for this Spring is being postponed to a later, currently undecided time. Many other large gatherings and events have been suspended or delayed due to Coronavirus concerns, so this delay was inevitable until we see some sort of improvement in the situation globally. The health and safety of everyone is a priority!

Further postponement and ticket details for those that have purchased concert tickets are also due to be announced later via the official Miku Expo Twitter, or the official site. We hope for options to either transfer or refund tickets to be available, but we’ll have to wait to find out.

Due to recent Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak concerns around the globe, and now in the southern region of California, it has been announced that the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival is being postponed to October 2020, for the weekends of the 16th and 23rd. Hatsune Miku’s appearance at the event will be postponed as well until these dates.

In further consideration of public health and safety, potential postponement of the Miku Expo 2020 USA & Canada tour is being considered. All we can do from this point is wait to see the decisions that will be made. Stay safe, everyone!

Happy Miku Day (March 9th) to all Hatsune Miku fans! It’s time for the yearly Hatsune Miku appreciation day, where fans celebrate their love for Hatsune Miku in various ways! Some create music, others draw artworks, create photography or even share cosplay dances.

Of course, there’s too much to fit here! So our yearly tradition to celebrate is to share some of our favorite illustrations from Pixiv and Twitter. Although we definitely encourage you to check out more yourself by searching the tag ミクの日 to find more!

Summers in Japan can be quite dangerous for unfamiliar tourists! Extreme heat and humidity can cause heatstroke if you’re not careful, so it’s important to try to keep cool and hydrated. With the upcoming 2020 Olympics in Tokyo, Hatsune Miku and V-tubers such as Mirai Akari, YuNi and more will be partnering as Pocari Sweat** ambassadors to raise awareness of this potential issue.

** Pocari Sweat is a popular hydration beverage in Japan, packing sodium and and other essential electrolytes lost in sweat.

The first stage of this collaboration is a new music video titled “Nechusho No!No! feat. Hatsune Miku & MEIKO”, composed by Mitchie M! In the video, Hatsune Miku and MEIKO sing in news-reporting style about the importance of staying safe in Japan’s summer heat, and also interview popular V-tubers/singers Mirai Akari, Fuji Aoi, and YuNi. They’re even joined by Hoshino Ichika from the upcoming mobile game, “Project Sekai Colorful Stage“!

This was definitely a cute and creative way to raise awareness of “Nechusho(heatsroke)”, and we hope overseas visitors will stay safe this summer!
