This news is nothing short of exciting for fans of the Project Diva series. It seems that previous rumors of Project Diva Arcade machines being imported to the U.S. are true. An announcement by ROUND 1 tells us that SEGA will be testing units at the location. The location is Puente Hills, California, United States.

The cost per play will be 4 credits, or $1 USD per play. According to an image taken by a fan on twitter, the location will be testing the units until March 18th. Any fans located in Southern California may not want to miss out on this opportunity. I suspect that we may have a few fans travel even further just to play these machines.

EDITED 2/19/2013: Crypton has mentioned that more test locations will be announced soon. [Source]

Below is an image of the machines being set up earlier today.

Earlier yesterday, the countdown timer on JimmyThumbP/OneRoom’s website had completed for all timezones, revealing what was suspected from the beginning: An all new album titled “Reboot”, featuring the song Reboot that was released to nicovideo on December 13th, 2012. Featuring Miku, Luka, and even OneRoom himself, while using animation quality far above most other videos, the PV took nicovideo and the Vocaloid community by emotional storm.

The website has a link to preorder the album on Amazon, but it does not yet offer much info on the contents of the CD itself. Expect the information to be updated over time. The album is set to be released on May 15th. Enjoy the PV and the rest of the article in the full story. Lastly, Happy Valentine’s Day! Continue reading »

My friend Tokiko over at Tokiko’s Diary Sapporo will be posting images from the 2013 Snow Miku Festival event. And as usual, her stories are done with her Nendoroid as the “protagonist” of each article. This makes for a pretty enjoyable experience while reading.

She already has an article up containing images from the first day of the event. You can find them here, or simply click the above image. Be sure to check back daily for more updates on the event! The Snow Miku Festival will end on February 11th, Japan Standard Time.

Previously, Good Smile Company had orders open on the Hatsune Miku 2.0 Nendoroid from December 17th until January 16th. At least, this was the planned time period for people to place their order. They ended up receiving too many orders, and they were forced to open up a second shipment date.

Apparently this wasn’t enough to relieve the load, as they were forced to close orders on January 14th: Two days earlier than the planned end date. Some people were upset that they missed out, since they were waiting until the last minute and also wanted the preorder bonus.

It seems that the GSC Online Shop has opened up orders on the Nendoroid for a third time. The exact end date for the 3rd session of orders is unknown, as the page details have not been updated. But it’s been confirmed that they are receiving orders. You can visit the purchase page by clicking the banner above, or here: Nendoroid Hatsune Miku 2.0 Order Page

The price is set at 3900 Yen ($42 USD) per nendoroid, and there is a limit of 3 orders per person. The shipment dates of 1st and 2nd round of orders were May and June, respectively. So it is assumed that 3rd round orders may ship in July, although this is currently unconfirmed since GSC has not yet updated the details of the order page. If you missed out before, this may be your absolute last chance to order one of these directly from Good Smile!
