Happy April 1st, and April Fools Day! While we don’t have any pranks planned for today, we’d like to share two great MikuMikuDance PVs created by the highly talented animator “Thanks“! These two videos celebrate Hatsune Miku and Kasane Teto’s 10th anniversaries, and summarize all the MMD animations Thanks created with the two characters. And as always, his works are candy for the eyes!

And for those out of the loop, Kasane Teto also celebrates her 10th anniversary today, since she was originally revealed 10 years ago as an April Fools Day prank. However, she eventually became an officially recognized original character, and the most widely recognized UTAUloid!

The “Hey MIKU!” Alexa app released to the Amazon Alexa store in Japan last November has been upgraded to improve its overall interaction and functionality. She’s also now able to sing!

The update coincides Amazon Echo’s March 30th general launch in Japan. Am,azon Echo smart speaker hardware, and thus, the Hey MIKU! app, had limited access to users in Japan until this release. Hopefully they will have worked out some of her quirks with this update. Note that using this app requires a Japanese Amazon account.

Check out the announcement video below!

Highly anticipated since its tease at WonFes, the Frame Arms Girl: Frame Music Girl Hatsune Miku figure is now available for order! Based on illustrations and designs by Shimada Fumikane and Yanase Takayuki, the pose-able figure comes from a collaboration between Hatsune Miku and Frame Arms Girl to create a new brand called “Frame Music Girl”, with Hatsune Miku being the first character in the lineup.

The figure is manufactured by Kotobukiya, and is priced at 5800 Yen through their own online shop. But she’s also available from other stores! The expected shipping period is November 2018. In terms of accessories, Frame Music Girl Miku comes with several speaker stands, a microphone, swappable hands and 3 different faceplates.

We’re really impressed with the figure quality, and its easy to draw comparisons to Good Smile Company’s “figma” series. Although it seems the Frame Arms Girl series has better flexibility. Check out the photos below!
