It’s been a while since we heard news regarding Hatsune Miku: Project Diva Future Tone for PS4, but SEGA hasn’t forgotten about the game! They recently announced that 10 songs will be updated to add Extra Extreme difficulties in a free patch that will be distributed on April 19th to Project Diva Future Tone, as well as Project Diva Future Tone DX. Here’s the songs getting the update!

Future Sound Pack: Love Words, The Intense Voice of Hatsune Miku, Magnet, Rolling Girl

Colorful Tone Pack: Jugemu Sequencer, Soiyassa!!, Time Limit, Hanamai Tsukuyomi Tan, Mousou Sketch, Leia

Of course, if you purchased both packs in Future Tone, or picked up the DX version of the game, all of the above songs will be updated automatically when you launch the game while connected to the PlayStation Network. The update also notes some stability and bug fixes.

This update announcement currently applies to the Japanese version of the game, and news regarding the update for Western releases is still pending. We’ll keep you posted!

Get your rhythm game hands ready, the popular Hatsune Miku song “TODAY THE FUTURE” is now available on Groove Coaster 4 at an arcade near you! The song packs 4 star (simple), 7 star (normal) and 9 star (hard) difficulties.

TODAY THE FUTURE by HarryP was created for the AEON mall collaboration last year, and was also one of the most popular Miku songs of 2017. The song is also available for purchase from KarenT → http://karent.jp/album/2140

And if you missed it last year, here’s the official music video!

This news report hits a bit closer to home for me, since I live inside the Coachella Valley area of Southern California. And I was sure surprised when I heard news that Hatsune Miku made a brief appearance on stage at the Coachella Music Festival last Friday! Simply dubbed “Coachella”, the event is one of the largest music festivals in the world, drawing artist and visitors from all over.

Miku’s appearance was made in the form of some video jockey (VJ) clips on the large glass screen behind the music group DREAMS (images above) on the evening of April 13th. While the music group is new, the members are not new to music. One member, for example, is Daniel Johns from Silverchair, a 90s music group.

There’s also a recording of Miku’s brief appearance in the tweet below. What do you guys think of the idea of Miku making an actual performance appearance at the Coachella Music Festival in the future?
