One of the first promotional videos for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics has made its way online to the @Tokyo2020 twitter account, and quite a few Miku fans couldn’t help but notice that there’s a quick half second sound blip of Hatsune Miku singing at 0:10 into the video! Check out the video above and listen for yourself!

What we hear is short audio clip of a song with Miku singing “Tanoshi mo”. And while short, it’s very distinctly Hatsune Miku! This inclusion in the Tokyo 2020 Olympics campaign likely stems back to Prime Minister Abe’s desire to include Hatsune Miku as one of Japan’s symbolic pop culture icons to help promote the 2020 Olympics to the world.

Is this all that remains to be seen of Miku’s involvement in the 2020 Olympics? We’ll have to keep watching to find out!
