10 different teams from both classes were in contention for the championship. In the GT300 class, all eyes were on the #61 Subaru BRZ currently leading in its class while in GT500 it was all on the class’s reigning champions the #1 STANELY NSX.
But their chances for a back-to-back title would fade as the #55 ARTA NSX would out brake themselves and collide with the #1 STANLEY NSX forcing both cars out of the race.
The race would finish with the #36 au TOM’S Supra finishing the race as well as winning the championship in the GT500 class. While over in the GT300 class the #60 Syntium Supra would win the race and the #61 Subaru BRZ would win their first championship title finishing the race in 3rd after overtaking the #4 Hatsune Miku AMG for the podium on the final laps.
With 8 points scored on the final race, Goodsmile Racing has placed 10th in the drivers’ standings. A provisional calendar for the 2022 Super GT season has been announced at the end of the race.
Additionally, there will be an end of year stream on the 25th of December.
