Hatsune Miku has been appointed as the ambassador for the “Cassette Store Day Japan” to be held on October 14th this year. Originating from the UK in 2013, the international annual event “Cassette Store Day” is held in dedication to the classic format of cassette tape.

The key visual filled with street fashion theme and, of course, a cassette tape and a player, comes from MONQ, whom we’re most familiar with as the official illustrator of Magical Mirai 2014. We’re certainly loving the idea behind pairing the world’s digital diva and the good old analog cassette tape together.

Specially announced for this occasion are the “MIKU’s TAPE -10th Anniversary Edition-” and its special counterpart “MIKU’S TAPE -10th- Anniversary Edition Cassette Player Set” to be released on October 14th. Both editions will come with 10 songs from the participating producers and a SONOCA card (setlist below), with the later to come with an exclusive cassette tape player.

The exclusive cassette tape player, decorated with the key visual by MONQ, will come with support for Hi-Fi stereo, auto reverse function, MP3 conversion by USB port, and come included with the software CD. Batteries are supplied via 2 AA batteries or USB port.
