The official costume design for the upcoming Hatsune Miku NT virtual singer software has been released! Hatsune Miku NT, which is releasing later this month, will once again feature main visual art by iXima, who has been the software art designer since Hatsune Miku V3’s release in 2013.

The new outfit design has a few subtle changes that add more frilly accents to the outfit, and some design elements that seem to take queues from the V4C design, such as the round hairbands. The arm sleeve and some mechanical design elements were created with assistance from Rella. Most notably, there is an increase in the volume of Miku’s hair compared to the V4X design, which some fans have humorously noted.

Boxart renders, a download version thumbnail and even design concept sketches have been released on a Sonicwire Blog update:

Hatsune Miku NT is set to officially release on November 27th, and will be Crypton Future Media’s first release of Hatsune Miku that uses their own proprietary singing synthesis engine, rather than VOCALOID, CevIO, Synthesizer V or other competing software. How this venture will fare among fans is yet to be seen, but we’re excited to see how Miku NT will perform!

The exhibition will take place at the Akiba CO Gallery in Tokyo from the 20th to the 29th November, and at the Animate store at Nihonbashi in Osaka from the 28th November to 13th December.
