Magical Mirai 2018 Exhibition Stage Special Live Announced for Tokyo

A new update has hit Magical Mirai 2018 site today announcing the return of DJ Live event and music session this year. The first is a ticketed special DJ live to be held at exhibition stage in Tokyo on August 31st~September 1st. The two hour-long performances features six different notable artists across the dates, one of which is Omoi, the composer of Magical Mirai 2018’s theme song “Greenlights Serenade”.

The second, named “Magical Challenge Stage“, is a free-viewing music session featuring “Senbonzakura” by KurousaP, regarded as one of the top Vocaloid songs of all time. The performances will be held on September 1st~2nd (also at exhibition stage in Tokyo) with 164 as our Day 1’s special guest. In addition to the listed performers below, five participants from home will also be joining in playing saxophone, violin, guitar, drum, and Yamaha’s Electone each.

PinocchioP & Hatsune Miku Performed Live at Star of Asia in Kazakhstan

During the recent Star of Asia music festival in Almaty, Kazakhstan, well-known Vocaloid producer PinocchioP and Hatsune Miku made a live performance appearance together! The duo made their appearance towards the end of Day 2 (June 17th) of the music festival, and performed 3 songs:

– Ghosts Play to the Audience
– YOZURINA
– Nobody Makes Sense

Hatsune Miku’s appearance at this event was accomplished via a small-scale glass panel projection, using an edited version of the Tsumi-type Hatsune Miku MikuMikuDance model, co-edited by Crypton Future Media for the event. Hatsune Miku also MC’d a little bit of Russian speech, which is certainly exciting! The whole event was streamed live online, and to various global media networks.

PinocchioP’s Third Major Album “HUMAN”

The producer PinocchioP will be releasing his latest album “HUMAN” on November 23rd, featuring an interesting mix between human and Vocaloid tracks together. The album comes in regular and limited editions, with the limited edition holding an extra disc of 7 tracks and a 32-page booklet housed in a hard paper box.

PinocchioP is a vocalist, lyricist, and also a VOCALOID producer known for his fast-paced beats of electro punk and witty lyrics reflecting on everyday life’s issues. He is also an illustrator and the creator of two characters who are the subjects of his songs: Aimaina and Doushite-chan. These two characters are featured in most of his videos and merchandise; they are very attractive with intriguing backgrounds. PinocchioP does not perform alone. He joined forces with DJ PinocchioP MK-2 (pronounced: MAK-TWO), who is in charge of the scratches and samplers.

Preorders are currently available on CDJapan, Amazon JP, iTunes, and Apple Music, with the two latter options featuring all tracks from the two discs. In addition to the preorder, three songs have been released: “Everything About Animals”, “It’s Matsuri, Hey Come On!”, and “Crappy Fantasy Days”.
