Goodsmile Racing has unveiled their Haregi version of the 2021 Racing Miku illustrated by En Morikura. Miku is seen wearing a pink haregi with a mix of maid aesthetics.

The haregi version is meant to be for the 10 Hours of Suzuka but the race was announced back in March earlier this year that it will be cancelled due to the ongoing pandemic. Despite the disappointment from the team, they wrapped the new Racing Miku on a spare bonnet for display at the Akiba CO Gallery.

Goodsmile Racing finishes the second round of Super GT in eighth position at Fuji Speedway. The race took place on a Tuesday as it was the weeklong holidays of Golden Week in Japan.

The #4 Hatsune Miku AMG would start in 11th position after an improvement from their last round in qualifying prior to the race. The race would see the first use of the Full Course Yellow (FCY) meaning all cars on track must slow down and overtaking is not allowed. The same rule applies like with the safety car that the pit lane closes during a Full Course Yellow.

The 500km long race would finish with the #17 Astemo NSX winning in GT500 and the #60 Syntium GR Supra winning in GT300. The #4 Miku AMG would finish in 8th with some cars in front of her were having problems falling down the grid before the finish.

With 3 points scored. Goodsmile Racing is currently 13th in the drivers’ standings. The next race will be on the 29th and 30th of May at the Suzuka International Circuit.

Goodsmile Racing finishes the opening race of Super GT at the Okayama International Circuit in 14th position after starting at the back of the grid in 27th place after being eliminated in the first qualifying session prior to the race on the previous day.

The #4 Hatsune Miku Mercedes-AMG would fight her way into 23rd place before the first safety car got deployed due to the #30 apr Toyota Prius got spun around by the #34 Yogibo Honda NSX forcing the Toyota to retire from the race. The race would restart on Lap 13.

The safety car got deployed again when the #360 Run-Up Nissan GT-R went off the track and collided with the wall at the first corner of the track. But before the safety car deployed, a lot of teams stopped for their mandatory pitstop fearing that the safety car would deploy again which led to the pit lane being overcrowded as teams were pushing back their cars due to the limited space they have.

The race would finish with the #14 ENEOS Toyota Supra winning the race in GT500 while the reigning champions in GT300, the #56 Realize Nissan GT-R would win in their category with the #4 Miku AMG crossing the finish line in 14th position just a lap behind from the class leader.

With no points scored in this race, Goodsmile Racing is currently outside of the top 10 in the drivers’ standing along with the other teams that also did not score points. As this was only the first race, we still have another seven more races so look forward to the upcoming races.

The next race will be at Fuji Speedway on the 3rd and 4th of May. Do keep in mind that the race will run on a Tuesday as it will be Golden Week in Japan.
