SUPER GT 2019 Round 1 Okayama Race Finished Early, Goodsmile Racing Places 8th

As quoted by one of Goodsmile Racing’s own reporters, last night’s SUPER GT Sound 1 race in Okayama was… A strange one. The rainy weather was among the worst we’ve seen in any races to date, and resulted in many delays and accidents during the race. All of this eventually led to the early finish of the race at 31/82 laps completed, as there would have been no way to finish the race by 17:30, by regulation.

Although Goodsmile Racing suffered some minor damage to their rear bumper after a collision by two other nearby cars, they were still able to race. But the early race finish resulted in GSR placing 9th overall. This ranking was bumped to 8th after a confirmed penalty on the #11 car (the GAINER TANAX GT-R).

All drivers in the top 10 received half points for an incomplete race, resulting in GSR having a total of 1 and a half (1.5!) points. Quite an unusual race with an unusual score result. Here’s to hoping Round 2 in Fuji has better weather! That race will take place May 3rd~4th. Fight, GSR!

Perhaps not the best start to the SuperGT racing season, but Goodsmile Racing definitely isn’t going out without a fight! After placing 15th in the qualifying race on April 7th, GSR was faced with some pretty difficult odds for the Round 1 race at Okayama.

Despite the setback, they managed to pull ahead 7 positions, ending the race in 8th place and gaining 3 points. The next race of the season will be in Fuji on May 3rd~4th. Fight, GSR!

Many Hatsune Miku fans in the U.S. have not been able to see what the real Hatsune Miku: Project Diva Arcade Future Tone experience can be like, because it’s not know where all the units are installed across the country. And while we have had a port of Future Tone make its way to the PlayStation 4, it still doesn’t quite feel the same (and is even harder!). Those 4 big buttons and slider on the actual arcade game feel a lot more exciting, and should be experienced in person.

The list of Project Diva Arcade locations in the U.S. have been hidden away on the Chinese version of the Project Diva AC website, but now fans in the U.S. can check out these locations!
