Hatsune Miku and NewDays collaboration returns once again but this time with Snow Miku to support Hokkaido! The collaboration, in celebration of Hokkaido’s 150th anniversary, will be bringing a variety of Hokkaido’s specialties starting today at all NewDays, NewDays KIOSK, and KIOSK shops until August 6th. Also included are clear files upon purchases and stamp rally with various prizes.

Fans who make purchases over 700 yen from now until July 23rd will receive a limited edition clear file of Snow Miku in NewDays uniform by KEI, where a second clear file by Mame no Moto will substitute in from July 24th until the end of collaboration. This makes it the second year we’re seeing Miku in her NewDays and JR East uniforms.

A stamp rally with QR codes will also be carried out. The rewards start out small from various designs of clear files to a limited edition Shinkalion the Animation postcard (where Miku piloted a bullet train transforming robot, and yes you read that right), and eventually, a special video with the names of winners called out by Miku herself.

In celebration of the launch of the campaign today, a new music video titled “NEWDAYS” by Michita has been released featuring Hatsune Miku and a Japanese music artist “pinoko” rapping together about Hokkaido. Movie & illustration courtesy of the artist iXima himself.

According to a recent TOKYO MX television broadcast, several key details of the Hatsune Miku: Magical Mirai 2018 events have been detailed. Here’s what was announced in the broadcast:

1. Osaka and Tokyo will have different setlists. Possibly a 7~8 song difference between the two venues.
2. The theme song “Greenlights Serenade” will hold some kind of special significance during the concert. (Possible surprises)
3. A lot of high-energy changes to the music setlist. (A very tiring setlist!)
4. No details yet of a Kansai region collaboration (where Osaka is located), will be announced in the future, hopefully.
5: Life-sized Magical Mirai 2018 version Miku statue production in progress.

Thanks to @tomono39 for the summary!

FREEing has displayed a fully pained version of their Hatsune Miku: My Dear Bunny ver. 1/4 scale figure at the CCG Expo in Shanghai, China earlier today. This is our first glimpse of the figure’s painted prototype, and gives us a good look from all angles. We love the attention to outfit detail with real fabric used for the fishnet pantyhose!

The figure is based on Hassan’s winning design from SEGA’s module design contest for Project Diva Arcade: Future Tone, which was released as a playable outfit in the game in 2017. According to the display, they are planning to open the figure for orders in January 2019 for 26,667 JPY ($242 USD).

Hopefully more details will emerge as the release date draws closer! Take a look at the images below.

The world-famous virtual singer Hatsune Miku will be performing live with her friendly YouTuber in the neighborhood Kizuna AI this September at the Tokyo Kabuki Girls show. The show is presented by Tokyo Girls Collection, a biannual Japanese fashion festival held since August 2005, as a grand collaboration with casts beyond genres from Vocaloid, models, artists, performers, and more.

Tokyo Kabuki Girls will be held at Shin Kabuki-za in Osaka on September 15th~16th. Ticket pre-sale is currently live on eplus. It’s rather a small world, a virtual world even.
