The results of the Hatsune Miku Magical Mirai 2021 song contest on Piapro have been announced! One grand prize winner and five runner-up winners were selected. You can listen to the samples in the YouTube video above, or the full songs from the list below! You can also check out their other works from the provided VocaDB links, if available.
The grand prize winner will have their song featured in the upcoming Magical Mirai 2021 live concert event, while the runner-ups historically had their songs featured in the overhead music played in the concert hall before the start of each concert.
Some big updates regarding Hatsune Miku Magical Mirai 2021 were posted to the official site, which covers the new main visual artwork, theme song, even ticket info and more! Here’s a quick recap of the announcements from June 21st. *Please note that overseas tickets are not being made available due to the ongoing pandemic situation in Japan.*
Main Visual by left
The theme of Magical Mirai 2021 is “Fairy Tale Fantasy“, with the main visual art being designed and drawn by left. Their participation in this year’s event also marks their first collaboration with cosMo@Bousou-P in 10 years. The artwork has a very floral and mythical atmosphere. There’s some concept sketches with costume details for those wanting to draw their own fanart, or even design a cosplay!
Theme Song “Hatsune Creation Myth” by cosMo@Bousou-P
Well recognized in the Hatsune Miku fan community, cosMo@Bousou-P is likely a welcome addition by many to the list of Magical Mirai theme song composers. A 15 second teaser CM for the event has been uploaded, featuring a segment of the theme song “Hatsune Creation Myth” playing in the background. We’ll have to wait a while longer for the release of the full song!

MIKULAND is making a return this Winter with Snow World 2021, and with it a new VR and AR amusement park experience! The virtual event will be held February 6th~7th 2021 via VirtualCast and HoloModels. The main visual art promoting this event was drawn by @choco_ikarashi.
What is MIKULAND?
The theme of “MIKULAND” is “somewhere near, in the near future”.
You can experience an official Hatsune Miku amusement park in VR and AR.
Using VR/AR apps, you can visit MIKULAND to experience the opening and ending ceremonies,
enjoy communicating with other users and purchase MIKULAND original merchandise.
Much of last Summer’s MIKULAND map is sticking around, but it will be livened up with a Winter theme, new content, and a new area to explore titled “Snow Globe Illumination”.
MIKULAND virtual map
There’s two ways to enjoy the event, and you can choose between VirtualCast (VR viewing) or HoloModels (AR viewing, more limited functionality). To view the methods of app installation and how to join, please click the link below to be taken to the “how to” guide. Please note the instructions are provided in Japanese only, but are relatively easy to follow.
If you can’t join through either programs, there will also be a video broadcast on both Nicovideo and YouTube during the event. Links will be live on the site when the event is live.
Various virtual shops will also be on display to explore.
There will be plenty of virtual activities to enjoy as well! These include Snow Globe (details coming soon), a mini concert (details coming soon), character Meet & Greets, Rhythm Games, Mystery Solving games, and a Snowball Fight event!
There’s a few other special areas, or “spots” to check out! These include Yukine Hills, a digital Piapro Art Wall, and Miku art gallery!
