SEGA has announced May 15th, 2020 as the release date for Hatsune Miku Project Diva: Mega Mix for the Nintendo Switch! The Western version of Mega Mix (called MEGA39’s in Japan) will be available exclusively in digital format from the Nintendo eShop. A playable demo is available for download right now, while the full version of the game can be preordered for $39.39 USD.

Mega Mix includes 101 songs spanning over 10 years of of the Project Diva game series, 10 of which are all new to Mega Mix/MEGA39’s. These include “Catch the Wave” by kz(livetune), “Alien Alien” by Nayutalien, “39 Music!” by mikitoP, “Hibana” by DECO*27, “Teo” by Omoi, “ROKI” by mikitoP, “Jigsaw puzzle” by Mafumafu, “Dreamin Chuchu” by emon(Tes.), “Ooedo Julianight” by Mitchie M and “Jitterbug” by Nanashi Hachiya.

There’s two play modes (arcade and joycon motion), a new module for the theme song, and even a t-shirt customization feature is included in the game!

And if you happen to be in the mood to grab yourself the new arcade-style controller from HORI for MEGA39’s/Mega Mix or Future Tone, but missed out on the last batch of preorders, you’ll probably be happy to hear that preorders are currently reopened on the HORI website until April 30th at 1:00 PM JST! Both controllers are priced at 38,478 JPY ($358 USD) each, and are expected to ship in the summer of 2020. To ship overseas, a proxy service is required.

Please note that there is a chance the Western versions of these games have not been updated with the software patches to support these controllers, and we’re awaiting a response from SEGA. Has anyone out there successfully used the PS4 controller with the Western version of Future Tone? Please let us know!

Crypton Future Media is making their previously exclusive LET’S PAINT activity available online for a limited time! With this online paint tool, you can color your MY MIKU in any way you like, and even import photos and pictures as backgrounds! Don’t forget to share your Miku with the hashtag #StayHomeWithMYMIKU, so others can see your creations! Posts with the tag will also have a chance to be selected to appear in a short recap video. CFM has also launched a MIKU EXPO Stay Home Mini Song Contest, where creators can submit a song featuring any of the Piapro Characters (Hatsune Miku, Kagamine Rin & Len, Megurine Luka, MEIKO and KAITO). The song can also be in any language! The song must be an original work (not a previously published work) less than 120 seconds in length. A free trial of Hatsune Miku V4X is also available via Sonicwire.

The winning song will be featured in a short video along with pictures uploaded from the #StayHomeWithMYMIKU campaign! There can be one grand prize winner, and two runner up winners that will win an assortment of Hatsune Miku and Piapro Character goods.

For those that enjoy Hatsune Miku Nendoroids, but wished for a bit more posing flexibility, Good Smile Company has a new figure that will make many collectors happy: Nendoroid Doll Hatsune Miku!

Hatsune Miku is now a Nendoroid Doll!
From “Character Vocal Series 01: Hatsune Miku” comes a Nendoroid Doll of Hatsune Miku! Nendoroid Dolls feature the same Nendoroid heads, but an alternate doll-like body that is highly articulated and can easily be dressed-up into different outfits while still remaining a palm-sized action figure! Miku’s twintails have been sculpted to be even more voluminous in Nendoroid Doll form! Be sure to add Hatsune Miku in her faithfully recreated outfit to your collection!

This Nendoroid is available for preorder from Good Smile Company’s online shop starting now, and will be available for reservation until June 4th at 12:00 PM JST. She’s priced at 6,930 JPY ($65.99 USD), and is expected to ship in December 2020. She’s also available from other online stores listed below!

Art design entries for the costume of Snow Miku 2021 and her pet rabbit Yukine are being accepted on Piapro! Every year, Hatsune Miku and Snow Miku fans from around the world are invited so submit their design ideas for a chance to have their Snow Miku featured at the Sapporo Snow Festival in Hokkaido! The winning design will also be turned into a Nendoroid and Figma, and will be used in promotional material for the event.

The theme for next year is “Illumination in the image of Hokkaido Snow“. Entries are being accepted until April 17th at 5:00 PM JST. The finalists will be announced at the end of April, and the chosen design will be announced in August 2020.

The classic Snow Miku 2011 Nendoroid, known as the “Snow Playtime Edition”, is getting a 2.0 version update and release, and is now available for preorder from Good Smile Company’s online shop!

Nendoroid Snow Miku is back with a brand new 2.0 look!
In celebration of the 5th Anniversary of New Chitose Airport’s Snow Miku Sky Town, Nendoroid Snow Miku is back as Nendoroid Snow Miku 2.0! Snow Miku’s familiar outfit featuring gloves and a scarf has been brought into Nendoroid form. She comes with three face plates including an energetic smiling expression, an eager motivated expression and a cute winking expression.

Rabbit Yukine is also included, dressed in a blue scarf! Optional parts include various interchangeable hand parts with both glove and bare hand options, a snow crystal and a keyboard! Paper craft versions of Snow Miku’s different outfits from 2012 to 2020 on hangers are included along with a paper craft closet to display them in. Be sure to add this updated 2.0 version of Snow Miku to your collection!

The Snow Miku 2.0 Nendoroid is available exclusively for preorder from Good Smile Company’s online shop for 5,000 JPY ($47.99 USD), and will be available for preorder until May 28th at 12:00 PM JST. She’s expected to ship out sometime in August 2020! The Nendoroid is also expected to be available at GSC’s booth at future conventions and events, as well as the Snow Miku Sky Town shop this August, while supplies last.
