The official Snow Miku 2021 website received a big update today, with a new main visual art, theme song information, themed train planning and more!

The chosen illustrator for the beautiful Snow Miku 2021 main visual art was necömi, well known for their contributions to character designs for vtubers, figures, game characters and more. It’s certainly a beautiful and festive design for the season!

It has also been announced that Heavenz will be in charge of the Snow Miku 2021 theme song. Heavenz has been involved in the Vocaloid/Virtual Singer music scene since 2008, and is well known for Rock and Ballad song styles. Notable masterpieces include “Strangers” and “Even If It’s Your Happiness“. We can’t wait to see the song they’ll create for the special occasion.

The ever-popular Snow Miku train will be returning again this year! The train is typically wrapped with the Snow Miku figma and Nendoroid designs, and can be seen making its rounds daily in central Sapporo city.

The train will be in operation from November 21st, 2020 through March 24th, 2021. The operation times are 7:0 AM ~ 6:00 PM daily.

For those wanting to experience what riding in the street train is like, there is a new “Snow Miku Train VR” experience in development! The project plans to allow you to view the photoshoot session of the train in VR, plus observe what it’s like to ride from the train driver’s seat in VR from your PC and smartphone! Futher details of the Snow Miku Train VR will be announced when it’s ready, so stay tuned.

A Snow Miku snow sculpture will be on display again next year at Odori Park from February 4th~11th. Don’t miss out on the chance to capture a photo, and enjoy the evening light shows!

The exhibition, goods booths, workshops and more have been moved to a new location for next year. Rather than the Sapporo Factory Hall, the exhibition activities will be held in Wing Bay Otaru in the nearby city of Otaru. The exhibition will be located on the 4th floor of the venue. You can locate it at the following address → 小樽市築港11番

Lastly, an Official Tour package has been announced, but so far only for domestic visitors. The package will include usual tour-exclusive goods, as well as the Snow Miku 2021 Nendoroid. Further details of the options will be announced at a later date.

The Snow Miku 2021 festival is a yearly celebration held alongside the Sapporo Snow Festival. It will be held from February 4th~11th 2021.

The two nights of the Hatsune Miku Galaxy Live 2020 VR event have concluded, and it was a spectacular event to watch! The visuals and music selection were great, and we’re incredibly grateful that such an event was made available for free. It was a 45 minute long performance spanning various planets across the virtual galaxy. The live featured 8 songs, which felt just right for a VR Live event (you need to let your eyes rest!).

If you’d like to recap the playlist, here’s the songs featured in the event:

1: Mizuiro Shinryaku by Nayutalien
2: World is Mine by Ryo(Supercell)
3: Violence Trigger by HachiojiP
4: MACARON by ATOLS
5: Bitter Chocolate Decoration by syudou
6: HIBANA by DECO*27
7: Sekai no Man’naka wo Aruku by Natsushiro Takaaki
8: Tell Your World by kz

The end of the live event also teased two somewhat mysterious announcements:

– Miku World 2021
– Miku Galaxy Live Japan 2021… And then the world!

Let’s have some fun speculating what these events could be! Is Miku World 2021 going to be some kind of theme park collaboration? Is Miku Galaxy Live going to be the name of some new concert event, or will it finally replace the outdated “Miku Expo” naming scheme? We’re excited to see what these announcements will bring for the future!

Following the postponement of the Hatsune Miku Expo 2020 event for Los Angeles, there’s now official confirmation via the official Miku Expo Twitter and tour website site that the rest of the locations for the 2020 Tour are having their dates pushed back yet again to April~May 2021. This applies to all announced USA and Canada locations. The cause for postponement is safety concerns and restrictions caused by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

The exact dates for each location will be confirmed at a later time, and already purchased tickets will also carry over to the new dates. For any questions about ticket refunds or any other inquiries, you should contact the appropriate ticket vendor.
