This is likely the last major Snow Miku 2018 news update before the event officially begins in 2 weeks, so here’s what’s new!

Sapporo Factory Hall Exhibitor Update

Our last news update still had 3 pending booths for the exhibition at the Sapporo Factory Hall, but now we have info on those booths!

Booth #3: KarenT Presents Creators Market
After the success at Magical Mirai 2016 and 2017, the KarenT Creators Market is coming to Snow Miku 2018! Albit quite downsized due to the Sapporo Factory Hall’s much smaller size. You can meet a total of 6 well-known Vocaloid music artists on Saturday and Sunday, February 11th and 12th!

The popular point card EZOCA is collaborating with Snow Miku again this year!


 
Booth #10: SEGA Corporation Interactive
SEGA will be displaying a Snow Miku edition Jumbo Fuwafuwa plushie, as well as taking orders!

Chimney Square Snow Miku Daihatsu Exhibition
For the 4th year in a row, there will be a gathering of Snow Miku Daihatsu cars on display at Chimney Square, near Sapporo Factory Atrium. Additionally, the new Hatsune Miku Daihatsu Move Canbus will be showcased! *Image below is from Snow Miku 2017.

Official Goods

Another major Official Goods update has been posted, this time adding an additional 20 items. Some items are found at amusement centers as prizes, some at Snow Miku Sky Town, and others will be sold at participating venues or exhibition locations. Here’s what’s added: 3D Acrylic stand, a giant pillow, a blanket, acrylic key holder, can badges, microfiber cloths, premium cookie can, Snow Miku Dollfie Dream Snow Miku 2018 outfit, Japanese playing cards, bookmark, notebook, Rabbit Yukine plushie, rubber strap set, clear file sets, sunglasses, travel stickers, and metal charms.

Snow Miku 2018 Event Updates (December 15th)

The official Snow Miku 2018 info site released quite a few news updates on December 15th, here’s a quick summary of those updates!

An added benefit of visitors attending the exhibition at the Sapporo Factory Hall on February 10th~11th are these collectable charms, one of three different designs chosen at random. You can re-enter the venue to get additional pieces, if you like.

Crypton’s music label KarenT will be distributing this year’s special Snow Miku themed album titled “Nocturne of Snow Light”, priced at 1,200 Yen at the venue. It’ll come with the following tracks:

Similar to last year, the Dinos amusement centers and theaters will be participating in goods giveaways at their arcades, bowling alleys and movie theaters. These festivities begin December 23rd, and run until February 28th. As examples, you can win a free magnet with one of 8 different designs every time you spend at least 500 yen on a participating prize machine. Just contact a staff member before you insert the money!

At Dinos Bowling (ディノスボウル), you can get a free Snow miku mug with the purchase of a bowling game for just 2,500 Yen, with 4 designs to choose from. You can also collect a 5th design at the Dinos Cinemas (ディノスシネマズ) for 2,000 Yen, which also comes with a soft drink.

Lastly, you can collect 1 of 3 different Snow Miku calendars, and a silicone watch, from crane games as prices! Try your luck!

There will also be a screening of the Magical Mirai 2017 concert at the Dinos Cinemas, but if the event is like last year, they wont plan to make the tickets available to overseas visitors. We’ll post updates if this changes.

Snow Miku 2016 Official Site Updates With New Artwork, Event Information

The official Snow Miku 2016 website has updated, revealing the new official site artwork, featuring the artwork by Mame no Moto (based on design art by otogi kotatu)! The illustration beautifully captures the excitement of Winter sports, the theme of next year’s Snow Miku festival, which is a customary part of Hokkaido’s yearly Snow Festival celebrations.

The 2016 Sapporo Snow festival will run from February 5th to February 11th. It has been decided that staff of MikuFan will be visiting the Snow Miku 2016 festival, and we look forward to seeing the many exciting events it has to offer!
