Alphamax has announced they’ll be creating a scale figure based on the Miku Expo 2021 main visual art by Ryota sometime in the near future. For now, we just have the 3D render prototype reveal, but no other details such as the scale size, release dates, etc. So stay tuned for updates on that!

Tokyo Otaku Mode has announced an upcoming exclusive Hatsune Miku figure, designed by LAM. What’s unique about this already cool-looking design is that a jacket based on the one Miku is wearing will also be made available alongside the figure! Further details of course will be announced at a future date.

Hatsune Miku hasn’t been slowing down at all in recent years, and sometimes the amount of news in one month can exceed the amount of news I’d cover in a year when I first started writing for this site! It’s hard to keep up these days, so I’ll try to quickly summarize the major points of news from the first week of this month. I’ll try to follow with another roundup for week 2 shortly!

Snow Miku is expanding her sports support reach beyond just baseball and snowboarding, and is now the first digital ambassador to support Japan’s B.LEAGUE (Japan’s Basketball league)! The B.LEAGUE All-Star Game 2020 will be hosted in Hokkaido on January 18th 2020, and will be supported by Snow Miku. The Japan basketball league chairman Okawa Masaaki says the move supports the planned theme of “future city” for the event, in which a digital character would fit perfectly.

A Hatsune Miku themed LCD computer monitor was created in a collaboration between ViewSonic and TSUKUMO. The 23.8″ 1080p monitor is available for order from TSUKUMO for 28,380 JPY (keep in mind electronics in Japan are more expensive in general). This monitor features a beautiful Hatsune Miku illustration drawn by Fukahire, which is visible on the product box, as well as on the included monitor cover to prevent it from getting dusty when not in use!

Rella, the popular illustrator behind the artwork for Miku Symphony 2018~2019, has teased some images of the upcoming Hatsune Miku scale figure based on the official artwork! We’re definitely excited to see more about this figure soon.
