Hatsune Miku Project DIVA fans with a Nintendo Switch can rejoice! Mega Mix is now officially available to download and play from the Nintendo eShop.

The game clocks in at 13.9GB in size (16.9GB with all updates and DLC), making it one of the largest games in filesize on the Nintendo eShop. Unless you have your Nintendo Switch’s internal memory relatively free, it is recommended to invest in a sizeable and speedy MicroSD card, which will also help with those loading times (128GB cards can be had for around $25). The base game is priced at $39.39 on the eShop.

Also available on the same day as the game’s launch are the 6 DLC song packs with six songs each, for a total of 36 additional songs. This brings the game’s total song count to 141 songs, the largest of any of the Diva games on a mobile console! Each of the 6 packs cost $6.99 each, or you can buy the DLC bundle for a discounted price of $29.99. The T-shirt design pack DLC is also available for free!

If you purchase the Mega Mix Mega Pack version, you can get the game and all DLC song packs for $59.99 (shirt DLC still needs to be downloaded separately). The theme song pack with 4 bonus songs was included for free for those that preordered the game early, while others will have to wait until June 12th to download it.

Lastly, the new “Tap Play” mode is also included in the game’s launch. To activate it, simply navigate these menus in the game: Customization > Game/control config > Arcade Mode > Tap Play > Enable. For the best experience and feedback, it is also recommended to play this mode with the “stylus” mode enabled for the touch pad in the Switch’s settings menu.

It is also confirmed that the HORI Arcade Controller is supported in the Western release of the game. To activate it, go to Customization > Game/control config > Arcade Mode > Arcade Controller Settings. We hope they eventually update Western version of Future Tone on the PS4 to support the arcade controller as well.

And if you happen to be in the mood to grab yourself the new arcade-style controller from HORI for MEGA39’s/Mega Mix or Future Tone, but missed out on the last batch of preorders, you’ll probably be happy to hear that preorders are currently reopened on the HORI website until April 30th at 1:00 PM JST! Both controllers are priced at 38,478 JPY ($358 USD) each, and are expected to ship in the summer of 2020. To ship overseas, a proxy service is required.

Please note that there is a chance the Western versions of these games have not been updated with the software patches to support these controllers, and we’re awaiting a response from SEGA. Has anyone out there successfully used the PS4 controller with the Western version of Future Tone? Please let us know!
