The life-size Hatsune Miku robot by Missile 39 has gained yet another major upgrade in her latest exhibition at RoboDEX on January 17th~19th. The development of life-size Hatsune Miku robot dated back as far as 2008, with the latest exhibition showing her refined movements via 50 servo motors with motion-capture technology. A delicate finger movement is then made possible, which can be seen in the video below.
This is quite a feat since the development of the second model in 2015.
Missile 39 is a robotic and Hatsune Miku enthusiast from College of Science and Technology, Nihon University. In February last year, he started a fund-raising campaign on CAMPFIRE with aim to create a life-size robot fully capable of talking, singing, and walking. The project successfully raised over 3.6 million yen by May, exceeding the goal by 20%. Production procedure of the previous models can also be seen on the said campaign page.ARVE Error: src mismatch
