With the mobile game Hatsune Speed: Hatsune Miku Roller Skating Music now released in China, here’s a quick guide detailing how to download, register an account, and login to play the game from almost anywhere in the world.
Keep in mind the game is still in open beta, so the servers and game often go down for maintenance and updates. Feel free to contribute any extra gameplay details and guides in the comments below!
Step 1: Download the game
First go to http://miku.163.com, and download and install the game using the pink button, as shown on the image above. Please note Android users may have to enable ‘allow installation from unknown sources’. iOS users may need to register a Chinese Apple ID.
Step 2: Register a dummy @163.com email
Because China often only allows site and game registrations using China-based email addresses, we need to set up a quick @163.com email address, which is easy and takes only a minute by following the image above. Use a valid mobile phone number! To get to the registration page, go here (if using mobile, force the browser into “desktop mode”): http://reg.email.163.com/
Step 3: Login to the game
Now load up the game, and then you can login using the email you just registered by clicking the icon above! This is highly recommended for keeping track of your game progress across multiple devices, otherwise all your data may be lost if you choose to play using a temporary account.
