Xiaomi and Crypton Future Media have announced a collaboration for Xiaomi’s Mi Band 5, their newest fitness smartband launching on June 18th in China. The collaboration includes a set of Hatsune Miku themes for the smartband, which can be changed to the wearer’s preference.

Hatsune Miku isn’t the only one, as several other IPs were also announced to have themes of their own. These include Detective Conan, Neon Genesis Evangelion and Spongebob Squarepants.

This is all the info that has been teased for now. The Mi Band 5 is also expected to become available sometime later for international markets, but it’s unknown if these themes will also be available for them. The Mi Band 5 is expected to have a launch price of 189 Yuan ($27 USD).

We’re still a day away from the reveal of the details of Xiaomi’s collaboration with Hatsune Miku, but that hasn’t stopped nearly the full details about the campaign from leaking!

Thanks to leaks, we know that Xiaomi will announce a special Hatsune Miku edition of their Mi 6X phone, which is a premium mid-range device. This is a step up from last year’s Miku edition Redmi Note 4X, which was a budget mid-range.

The Miku Edition Mi 6X bundle will include the phone, along with their well-known Mi powerbank (likely the 10,000 mAh model). Both of which will feature lineart on the backside by an illustrator we’re friends with, @ZY_Remix!

The full collaboration details will be officially announced on June 28th, China time, while the expected launch date is July 3rd. It will be priced at 2099 Chinese Yuan ($320 USD). Here’s what we know about the device, according to the alleged leaks:

Special Hatsune Miku Edition Xiaomi
– Screen: 5.99″ at 1080×2160
– Chipset: Snapdragon 660 CPU, Adreno 512 GPU
– RAM/Storage: 6GB/128GB
– Front Camera: 20MP (f1.8)
– Rear Cameras: 12MP (f1.8) + 20MP (f1.8)
– Battery: 3010 mAh
– OS: Android 8.1 / MIUI 9.5
– Rear Fingerprint

The phone is said to launch on July 3rd on Xiaomi’s Chinese webstore, but we’ll know for sure after the official announcements tomorrow. Stay tuned! As a bonus, here’s a short video released by Xiaomi for reaching 2 million points on their support campaign, as well as a teaser artwork posted by one of the campaign illustrators, Mame no Moto.

The Xiaomi x Hatsune Miku campaign, of which we shared the details of yesterday, has finally reached its next goal of 1,000,000 support points, and unlocked the new campaign theme artwork (sample above)! The illustration is drawn by Mame no Moto, an illustrator also well known for drawing the official Hatsune Miku V4 Chinese artwork, and drawing the main visual artwork for Snow Miku 2016.

Also announced is the public release of the previously exclusive Hatsune Miku phone theme for the limited edition Xiaomi Redmi Note 4X. The theme is now available for all Xiaomi devices from Xiaomi’s theme shop in China for all compatible Xiaomi devices running MIUI.

The final phase of the campaign is set to automatically unlock on June 28th, but fans can unlock it early by helping the campaign reach 2,000,000 support points. As we speculated before, we strongly believe this campaign is leading up to the announcement of another Hatsune Miku edition smartphone release. Check out the campaign details in our previous article! → https://www.mikufan.com/?p=23306

The Xiaomi company has started a new campaign on Bilibili, asking the Hatsune Miku fan community to show their support for… Something. But with Xiaomi well known for making smartphones, and having already produced a Miku edition smartphone in the past, it looks like they may be making another!

Campaign Page: https://www.bilibili.com/blackboard/activity-mixchuyin.html

The collaboration asks Miku fans to show their support by voting and sharing to reach the support point goals, and unlock new content and announcements. The campaign page has two buttons used to show your support, an orange “vote” button, and a red “share” button. Each person can “vote” 5 times a day, and share once per day on Weibo, QQ, or Baidu for 10x the support points. After supporting the campaign for 3 days in a row, your support points can be multiplied up to 20x.

The most recent goal of 750,000 “support points” unlocked the full version of “Zuimei Yinji” (The Most Beautiful Impression) featuring Hatsune Miku V4 Chinese, written and composed by Mineko and Irish Kappa! The video features a silhouette of artwork drawn by Mame no Moto. You can listen to this song below.

The campaign has just two more goals to be reached. As of the writing of this article, the campaign sits at 936,000 support points.

– 1,000,000 Support Points: New Theme Image Unlocked. (Will be unlocked automatically June 22nd if the campaign fails to reach 1 million by that date)
– 2,000,000 Support Points: Ultimate Secret Unlocked.

There’s also rewards for those that post comments on the campaign page with the hashtag ” #小米X初音未來#”, and their wish for the campaign (limited to residents in China, of course). Posts to the site have a post ID number. Posts with the hashtag that also end with the number “39” will win a 5,000mAh Xiaomi Mi powerbank. Posts ending with “3939” will win a Xiaomi Mi Band. Each winner can only win their prize once.

We’ll keep you updated as the camaign progresses!

Writer’s note: If I had to take a guess at which phone Xiaomi might use for the next Hatsune Miku edition smartphone, we’re suspecting the Xiaomi Mi 6X.
