Hatsune Miku nominated to sing at the 2012 Olympic Winter Games (But not really)

The Top Tens, a community voting site, has recently opened up an online poll that allows users to vote on the singers they would like to see perform at the 2012 Olympic Winter games (hypothetical of course). Most surprisingly, Hatsune Miku has shown up on the list!

In a matter of 12 hours, she’s moved from rank #91 to rank #39. If you want to take a look and cast a vote for yourself, you can do so here. This is a perfect opportunity to attract publicity from online readers.

Getting her into the top 10 will be difficult, but we’ll see what happens!

EDIT 1/13/2012 10:09PM: After a few message exchanges with the admins on their message board, Miku has been added back to the site!

If you wish to read the other edits to get an idea of what happened earlier, read the entire post.

Hatsune Miku Mod for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

Filed under: Hatsune Miku,Other,Videogames — Written by jrharbort on Monday, January 2nd, 2012 @ 3:05 pm

No doubt one of the biggest (and buggiest) games of 2011 has to be Skyrim. So it was only natural that people from within the Vocaloid community would find a way to import a model of Hatsune Miku into the game. Be warned, people who like to think of Miku as an innocent and non-violent character may want to look away from the following video.

Now if only they could turn the swords into leeks…

The model does have it’s faults, though, mainly being the lack of any hair physics. But for a first attempt, it’s pretty interesting. You can find information and a download for the mod in the description of the video here.

EDIT: Thanks to a video by SeyrenLK, it seems there is even a leek/sword mod to go with it.
