The program works fine over here, i use vista 64bit as o/s.
Its a lot of fun to toy arround with it, thank´s for that nice little tool.

well i have it worked on my PC but the camera does not stop…every time i move my mouse, the camera also move…giving me hard time to work at it…

the file opens and stuff but it also closes like rihgt after…..for me any how

IT WORKKKKS!!! XD i was opening the wrong file thingy. My problem was I was trying to open the folder with a zipper thing on it. There another folder somewhere with the same name but no zipper. That the one XD buttt then i don’t think i’ll be of any help >.<

Save what, Kuni? And Grunttehwoot, Kagamine Rin is in RinRinDance, or ya could just download the latest version of MikuMikuDance… I believe it’s ver 3.22? But it’s all in Japanese, so you would have a hard time reading it XD

Remember that you have to extract it before you use it. And if you want a Mikumikudance with more features, including seven people, go to http://www.geocities.jp/higuchuu4/ , and go to where it says multi-model. Unfortunately, its in Japanese. To help, learn everything about the English one and learn the buttons and memorize whats on it to see whats on the Japanese one.

Okay, for people who say that it closes fast because of a problem, it’s either because you didn’t extract the application, or it just broken. Just when it gives you the choices EXTRACT or RUN, Press extract. You don’t have to extract all the time. If you have Windows Vista, go to the start button, type in mikumikudance, then after the results come, press the application with the picture of an OPEN folder, not zipped up, and there you go!^^

My problem:The animation thingy. I looked at the tutorial, did what it said, but it didn’t work the same as the video did. Miku’s hand just went up, then down, like 2 pictures with 1 hand up, then down. The video showed Miku’s hand actually move. I don’t get it! HELP!

how do you get accesories

Okay so I downloaded MikuMikuDance yesterday and it was working fine, but now whenever I go to open it it automatically says that it has stopped working and that the program has to close.
Also, I can’t fins the file that for MikuMikuDance anymore. I can only find the zipper version of it. I have the shortcut on my desktop but it just tells me to close the program when I try to open it.

If anyone knows why it’s not working, please tell me! I love Miku and I really want to figure out why it’s not working.

No offence guys, but it’s perfectly fine. It works for me, at least. Maby if you check if you downloaded all the correct programs. That might be the problem. If it’s not, you should ask for more help or somthin. But some other people just whine without even trying to figure out what the problem is. Thanks. ^^

This is just a little help for the people, where when they open it it closes right afterwards.

The same thing happened to me and I didn’t know why but I was just trying deleting stuff out of my temo=porary files and decided to move the MMD program out of it into my E drive(i have a couple extra drives you can probally use the C) and after opening it it work really well ^-^

MikuMikuDance works with me, and MikuMikuDance Multi Model Version will download and open, but there are no models and no matter what I do, the model(s) won’t come! The accessories and backrounds will, but the models aren’t even invisable! They have no bones!!! And it didn’t let me delete it except in pieces!!! TT.TT

i just downloaded MikuMikuDance and I am having no problems it downloaded faster than half of the other things on my laptop and there are no viruses to worry about because my anti virus software supports the program!! (my anti virus software is webroot and it works better than norton and McCafe in my opinion!! Hi! I recently got MikuMikuDance but everytimed i try to click on a model, for example when i go to the folder “Model” and click on a character, it tells me Windows Cannot Open This File: Windows cant open this file because it doesnt know which program to open it with.
Am i supposed to have a MikuMikuDance icon on my desktop or something? HELP PLEASE!!! D:

I’m using Windows 7. I extracted all files on all tools for everything into one folder. I opened the application saying ‘MikuMikuDance’ on two folders, the first one named ‘MikuMikuDance_e’ and ‘MikuMikuDanceE_v739dot’ The applications on both folders are fine, and for me, The same…

Note: I downloaded all there is needed (except the tool in moggproject that is a beta and may have bugs >.<

Ok, I have been wanting to download MikuMikuDance for a while now but I am iffy about it and I have a couple of questions if anyone can reply to them that would be great! My first question, is it safe? I have a brand new laptop and I don’t want it to break on me.
Second: Is there anything else I would have to download to be able to use it?
Third: If I wanted to have Luka as a model how would I go about getting her?
Fourth: There are four different download links on the english page, do I have to download all four?
And if not what version would be best?
Sorry about the long comment but I want to be sure of everything BEFORE I download anything.

1. The program is safe,I personally trust VPVP site, I believe Miku fans are good people
(BTW you may get a pop-up when trying to run the program but its just like that since you are running a program that was originally Japanese on an English computer)

2. You may need to download an English Patch but other than that no you can have add-ons

3. You would have to look for a MMD Model file search the net or buy directly from the creator respectfully (there are multiple type of models)

4. You do not have to download all 4, I personally downloaded the Miku Multi-model edition but thats because my laptop is older but its up to you and your laptop

If I’m right, MMD is not a game, but a program used for making animations and stuff like that.
It’s supposed to be fun and entertain its players.

You can download MMD at VPDP, something like that… Google it. It’s english. Download DirectX something, the latest version. You can also download more models at DeviantArt.
It comes with Animasa Miku, Len, Rin, Kaito, Meiko, Neru, and Haku.
And Kio Meiko Sakine. I suggest downloading Kio models to replace Animasa, they are very pretty and you don’t have to pay anything.
You can download motion data, poses… Anything is possible. The game can be fun or not depending on how you use it.

I used to use it, but ever since I realized violence is never the answer, I trashed MMD.(I used my selfie to hurt Luka and Haku)

I can’t get it to work. :c I’ve downloaded it fine and it works but only to a cetain extent! I can’t find any models so then I press ‘show all files’ and the models come up so I click on it and it says the fild isn’t for Pmd or something. I’ve tried serval times to fix it. @nyan: There’s some included models in the UserFile\Model folder. Other than those, you will need to locate and add your own additional models to MMD. This is an animation tool only, and it wont include all the other things such as stages, models, or accessories.

Is there a version of MMD that is in English, but does NOT require WinRAR?

@ChessieGirl: WinRAR is free, so I don’t see the issue. You can also use 7-zip to unpack it, which is another free application.

But, it says “my trail is up, please uninstall or purchase it after 40 days,” so I feel guilty everytime I download something. I’m so confused.

@Kerri: Watch the tutorial more carefully. Also, try using MikuMikuMoving instead. Also, you get additional models online. Check out the MMD wikia for a small model database. Bowlroll.net has even more.

@Leigh: You don’t need winzip to extract it, windows is capable of extracting zip files on its own. Winzip is also a horrible program to be honest. I suggest either 7-Zip or WinRAR, both of which are free.
