July 2nd 2014 will mark the 5 year anniversary since the release of the first Hatsune Miku: Project Diva game for PSP, after which many new games followed. To celebrate the occasion, SEGA will be throwing a memorial event at the Tokyo JOYPOLIS center from June 23rd until July 27th. SEGA’s official Hatsune Miku Project site also got updated with a new look: http://miku.sega.jp/

Many of the activities available will be quite similar to the previous DAIBA de DIVA event. You will find many similar dining menu items themed around Crypton’s Vocaloid characters, ride attractions, game prizes and live entertainment activities available. You can find details on attractions and event start times from the official event page: http://tokyo-joypolis.com/event/5th_annivparty/

The 1st floor main stage will be playing promotional videos daily. These include ODDS&ENDS, Tell Your World, and a 3rd secret song. Visitors attending the event on July 2nd at 7:00 PM will get the chance to see a special talk show featuring Hayashi Seiji (Project Diva series producer), Osaki Makoto (Project Mirai/Project Diva Arcade series producer) and Utsumi Hiroshi (SEGA feat. HATSUNE MIKU Project supervising producer).

As a bonus, your entry fee to the memorial event will get you a memorial T-shirt containing KEI’s illustrations for all 7 game releases so far. These are only available as long as supplies last.
