You know how every Hatsune Miku: Project Diva game to date has had that one “boss” song that is just too difficult to clear compared to the rest of the music set? Thanks to the introduction of the “medley” concept, it looks like Project Diva X will also be adding what has been dubbed the “ultimate medley”.

Called  “Shuukyoku no Medley ~Chouzetsu Gikou Bousou Kumikyoku”, the medley will have the “neutral” element, and was arranged by cosMo@BousouP himself (yes, the producer responsible for our mental and physical anguish with Project Diva over the years). It will include the following songs:

Modules accompanying the characters for this song, designed by Hidari, were also announced in this update:

  • Ultimate Miku
  • Ultimate Rin
  • Ultimate Len
  • Ultimate Luka
  • Ultimate Kaito
  • Ultimate Meiko

SEGA and Famitsu have outed and recapped more juicy bits about Hatsune Miku: Project Diva X, mostly pertaining to the home screen, song selection, and additional game modules. Let’s take a look at what’s being added!

Home Screen

Communication at Home
Diva X seems to be taking inspiration from the Project Mirai series, and pushing for more player and character interaction. From this menu, you have access to the Area Quest, Events Quest, Gifts, Makeover, Setup, Relationship Status, and photo album.

From here, characters will communicate with you to give hints about available live quest events, or if they feel like encouraging you to train harder. You can also “poke” characters here as a form of physical interaction like in previous games but this time the character reactions can be influenced by their relationship status with you, as well as the element of the module they’re currently wearing. Try out different elements to see the different reactions! Continue reading »

What is Nendoroid Co-de?

“Nendoroid Co-de is a new addition to the Nendoroid series based on the theme of dressing-up characters! The figures have fixed poses and each come with four parts – the head, upper garment, lower garment and shoes. Each of these parts can be swapped between characters allowing for all sorts of possibilities. The more you collect, the more dress-up options become available to you!” Via Good Smile

Sega has released the next information update for Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA X! The information this time mainly focuses on the character interactions and friendship level in Home, also known as the new title for DIVA Room in the previous titles.

Friendship level is determined by the player’s interactions in game with the characters. An increase in friendship level can give the players small advantages in quests or eventually unlock new quest(s).

Raising the friendship level can be done with gifts or completing the special gift event, which triggers a dialogue giving away hints for a specific item. Succeeding in giving the correct item will greatly increase the friendship level.

Interactions with the characters can also unlock quests, Event Quest(s), and character-specific Event Quests when a certain condition has been met. Furthermore, the modules’ elements also affect the characters’ dialogues and interactions. For an example, a COOL element module will give a cooler expression.

Below are the lists of the newly announced songs, medley, and modules for the game.
