We’ve seen Hatsune Miku collaborate with fashion brands for promotion in the past, but the latest apparel collaboration with SuperGroupies definitely brings something new: A Miku themed Camisole and Lingerie Set. The collab features dangerously cute artwork from the artist Mori Kuraen, and we can’t deny that Miku shows off the outfits quite well.

The sets are available exclusively via the SuperGroupies online store (and possibly physical stores, as hinted by the tweet below) in Japan. So getting these from overseas wont be as easy. The lingerie set is available in sizes A65-70 ~ F70-75 for 8800 Yen (tax excluded), while the Camisole is available in M and L sizes for 8500 Yen (tax excluded). The preorder period will be open until November 6th, 2016, with delivery expected in March 2017. All orders will also include a clear file as a gift!

Hatsune Miku: VR Future Live is out now!

It’s time to put on your shiny new PlayStation®VR headset to witness the greatest show in virtual reality, because Hatsune Miku: VR Future Live is out now! The game will transport you to a massive arena full of screaming Miku fans for a concert experience unlike anything you’ve ever seen before. You’ll need to get your fanboy/girl on to help out Miku and charge the stage’s voltage by moving your controller in time with the crowd. Plus, don’t forget to shout some encouragement to her (seriously) as building her voltage up will unlock easter eggs. After three songs, Miku will even do a special solo encore performance just for you!

The 1st Stage is out now and contains the following seven tracks:

  • Love Trial by 40mP
  • 1/6 – out of the gravity – by noa
  • Satisfaction by kz
  • Weekender Girl by kz & Hachioji P
  • 39 by DECO*27 & sasakure.UK
  • Cute Medley – Idol Sounds by Mitchie M
  • Love Song by Lamaze-P

Hatsune Miku: VR Future Live is now available as a free download on PlayStation®Network, but players will need to purchase Stages in order to play any content. There will be a total of three stages that can be purchased for $14.99 or as a season pass bundle for $39.99 (you’re saving money with the bundle, just saying) in the Americas. European prices will be commensurate and more information about the 2nd and 3rd Stages will be revealed at a later date.

The VR-enabling patch for Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA X is also live. The free patch allows players to watch concerts they’ve created with the Concert Editor in VR. Although the rhythm gameplay won’t be present, players will get a thrilling glimpse of what Miku is like in the world of virtual reality!

If you aren’t sold yet, why not download the demo now and see what all the fuss is about? The demo contains a tutorial and one song (Weekender Girl by kz & Hachioji P) that will give you an exciting look at what it’s like to watch the world’s most popular digital diva perform in virtual reality. We’re now several weeks past the launch of Hatsune Miku’s V4X Vocaloid software release, so what’s next? A guide book on how to use that software, of course!

The first official commentary guide book on using Hatsune Miku V4X and the additional bundled software will be released November 18th. The guidebook is unfortunately being published only in Japanese for now, so this would make it a collector’s item for most western composers and fans. Hopefully we’ll see some sort of translation, official or fanmade, in the future.

The book is available for global preorder via Amazon Japan for 2592 Yen: https://www.amazon.co.jp/dp/4845628708/

This is a guidebook about how to fully understand the newest version of of the famous Vocaloid, Hatsune Miku.

Hatsune Miku V4X includes the vocal editor “Piapro Studio”, and the center of music creation, DAW software “PreSonus Studio One 3 Piapro Edition“.

This means you can start music creation immediately with everything included in the software package.

For those wondering “But what should I do now?”, we wrote this book explaining everything from software installation, how to make your Vocaloid sing (plus advanced techniques), to the music creation process.

Additionally, we have prepared wallpaper downloads for Piapro Studio! Please enjoy music creation with these extras!

Content:
INTRODUCTION: What is 『Hatsune Miku V4X』?
PART 1: Let’s make her sing
PART 2: How to use Piapro Studio
PART 3: “Must Have” techniques
PART 4: E.V.E.C HowTo
PART 5: Song writing and fundamentals of Studio One APE
PART 6: Let’s make music with Studio One APE
PART 7: Let’s publish the song

The multi-artist collaboration event titled “Hatsune Miku: Still Be Here” will be showing at the U.K.’s Barbican Centre on February 26th, 2017 from 7:30 PM until 10:30 PM. Please note that this is not an officially operated event, but it is officially authorized. It’s not a concert-style event either, but more of a contemporary art performance.

This will be the third performance of this event in Europe, and has already premiered in Berlin and Austria. You can read a report on the Berlin performance from Vice.

You could argue that all Pop stars are created, but not to the same extent as Hatsune Miku. Starting life as a vocaloid program created by Japanese developers, and evolving into a full-blown virtual Pop star and cyber celebrity with hit singles worldwide and sellout stadium performances, she comes to the Barbican in Still Be Here.

Conceived by artist Mari Matsutoya, with music programmed by producer Laurel Halo, choreography by Darren Johnston and visual production by LaTurbo Avedon & Martin Sulzer, Still Be Here is more than just a mesmerising virtual reality experience. With Hatsune Miku taking form on stage as a 3D projection, looking at once eerily real and like something from a different world, a narrative begins to take shape as she performs. Lyrics question the role of the Pop star in the 21st-Century, the commodification of the female body, and notions of identity.

Hatsune Miku is much more than just an animated star. With anyone able to buy the software and use it to start producing music and program dance moves for her, an ever-growing global community of fans has developed around her. All the music she releases and performs live is created by that community, making her a collectively-constructed Pop star, and a representation of the evolution of digital music technology, crowdsourcing, and creative collaboration. Still Be Here plays on that idea, investigating how Hatsune Miku, and indeed Pop stars in general can be something onto which we project our own desires.
