The Snow Miku 2017 updates are starting to roll in! To start, the official Snow Miku 2017 website has been updated with a new visual artwork, illustrated by Korean artist “comet”. We’re also getting some proper updates on the English version of the site, which is a major improvement over last year.

 

Here’s the current Snow Miku Festival/Sapporo Snow Festival timetable! The DJ Live event will be making a return, and this time for two nights instead of one! Ticket info is still pending. Info on any sort of possible virtual singer concert event is pending as well.

Eager to see Sapporo’s new Snow Miku street car wrapped with Snow Miku 2017 decor? So are we! Thanks to a press release by Sapporo Public Relations Magazine, we finally have a date of the reveal: You will be able to preview the streetcar on November 20th from 10:30 AM until 4:00 PM. This is an entire month earlier compared to last year. Note: We’re finding the address of the exact preview location. Will update with new info.

After that, the streetcar will begin its regular operation schedule from November 21st until March 26th. Watch for the news of the reveal on November 20th! Below is a video report on the Snow Miku 2016 streetcar from the last Snow Miku Sapporo event.

“Senbonzakura” performance as shown in the Hatsune Miku Symphony teaser movie

The first-ever official Hatsune Miku orchestra concert “Hatsune Miku Symphony” has its teaser movie released today, and shows a few footage to tap into a rare kind of a Hatsune Miku concert experience accompanied by Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra, widely known as Japan’s oldest classical orchestra

Hatsune Miku Symphony was held at Tokyo International Forum on August 26th, with Hirofumi Kurita as the conductor and guest appearances featuring Asami Shimoda and 40mP. The live CD of the orchestra concert is currently available for preorder on CDJapan and Amazon JP, and features 2 discs with 17 tracks in total (including medleys). Preorders via Amazon JP will come with a lottery clear file from the ten original designs by △○□×hieJETwoguraSaineTamaIttomaru, Ichika, Aki Akane, and Suzunosuke.

The release date is scheduled for November 9th.

In celebration of its 40th anniversary, the leading Japanese clothing retailer BEAMS has released a music video featuring 40 years worth of fashion and trend in Japan since 1976. The music video features a great number of artists, including sasakure.UK and Hatsune Miku, singing to the song “Kon’ya wa Boogie-Back (smooth rap)” by Scha Dara Parr. Below is the music video in question.
