Following the recent news leak, we’re getting a huge update on Hatsune Miku V4 Chinese today: a new demo song release, a Nendoroid prototype reveal, preorder date announcement, and the new looks of SCLA and Poppro sites!

Hatsune Miku V4 Chinese Demo Song

Hatsune Miku V4 Chinese gets an all-new demo song today titled “初嵐 ~First Storm~” by DECO*27 featuring key visual by Mame no Moto with support by iXima (arrangement by Rockwell and translation & chorus by Mes). Check it out below on the official Hatsune Miku Youtube channel!

Nendoroid Hatsune Miku V4: Chinese Ver. Prototype

Also revealed today is the prototype of the Nendoroid Hatsune Miku V4: Chinese Ver. by Good Smile Company based on the key visual by Mame no Moto! This makes her the very first Hatsune Miku figure based on a completely new and non-Japanese voicebank. Price and release date due at later dates.

Preorder date and Poppro site

The SCLA teaser site has been updated with a key visual by Mame no Moto, the official illustrator of Snow Miku 2016, along with preorder date announced for August 31st in contrary to the recent news leak. There’s no mention on price and release date as of now. The other site in question, Poppro, long suspected to be China’s own version of Piapro,jp, has finally opened today. We’re seeing uploads by fans already!

UPDATE: Prices have been announced for 10,800 yen (~99 USD) and 11,880 yen (~108 USD) for download and limited package versions, respectively. Shipping will begin in early September 2017. Info via Sonicwire blog.

An early news leak by the user 死图P-V家情报收集 on Weibo has revealed that Hatsune Miku V4C preorders will (reportedly) open tomorrow at 680 yuan (~102 USD), along with the release date planned for September 10th. We also get a first look at the packages with the key visual by the illustrator Mame no Moto, which some may be more familiar with as the official illustrator of Snow Miku 2016.

The leak comes just a day before the official press conference planned for tomorrow in Shanghai (August 24th), and so we’re expecting confirmations and official announcements by then. In related news, there’s also the countdown timer on Poppro website to look forward to on August 31st.

Aug 102017

It looks like Hatsune Miku’s V4 Chinese Vocaloid software release date (?) has possibly been decided, as a special countdown page has opened up at http://www.poppro.cn/, linked from the main SCLA teaser page. Poppro.cn is suspected to become China’s own version of Piapro.jp, which is Crypton Future Media’s peer professional collaboration site for Vocaloid content creators.

The countdown shows 20 days remaining in China time, which translates to the timer ending on Hatsune Miku’s birthday on August 31st. The timer runs off your system time, so it’ll show different timers for different countries, be careful! Whether or not the countdown is for the launch of Hatsune Miku V4 Chinese, Poppro.cn, or both, is still a mystery. Stay tuned!

Easter Egg: Try swiping left or right while visiting the countdown website on mobile!
