Official Hatsune Miku YouTube Channel Reaches 1 Million Subs

Well, the time since 2011 has really flown, hasn’t it? It has taken a little less than 9 years, but the official Hatsune Miku YouTube channel is celebrating its 1 Million Subscriber milestone today!

The channel was originally launched in December 2011, in a move that many fans felt was long overdue at the time. 312 uploads and 100+ million video views later, there’s been a lot to talk about and celebrate in the Hatsune Miku fan community!

It was also around the 2011 time period that the overseas fanbase for Hatsune Miku really started to take off, and we’ve continued to grow at a steady pace around the globe. We, the fans, have come together to make this achievement possible!

Official Hatsune Miku YouTube Channel Now Accepting Community Translations

Great news for fansubbers and translators in the Hatsune Miku fan community! The official Hatsune Miku YouTube channel has enabled community contributions for all videos on the channel, meaning it’s now possible for fans to submit their own translations!

Some fan translations have already been accepted on videos, such as the official Magical Mirai 2018 theme song “Greenlights Serenade”, so it’s definitely a real thing! Let’s get to work on helping out! Official Hatsune Miku YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/user/HatsuneMiku/

Victory: The Fake MikuHatsuneVEVO YouTube Channel is Removed!

While we’ve already announced the news across our social media, we feel it’s important our website followers also know the good news: The fake MikuHatsuneVEVO YouTube channel we previously reported has been successfully shut down!

Thanks to the flood of reports from fans, YouTube was finally forced into investigating Crypton Future Media’s trademark claim against the channel and finally approved the takedown. The removal was first confirmed on June 22nd, 2018.

Lastly, there’s more good news! The official Hatsune Miku YouTube channel is now verified, so this sticky mess is not likely to happen again from here on out.

Following up on our recent article of Hatsune Miku’s debut in episode 15 of “Shinkansen Henkei Robo Shinkalion”, we’re happy to share that official uploads of episodes 15 and 16 are available on YouTube from Takara Tomy’s channel!

The episodes don’t feature any English captions (yet!), but Takara Tomy is allowing submissions of community translations! If anyone out there is confident in their Japanese skills and would like to help translate the episodes, go for it!

EDIT 5/18/018: The official uploads seem to be purged after a period of time, so we are embedding new mirrors of the original source. We also added episode 17, and added English captions to the videos (credits to Weeaboo-Shogun).
