Recent buzz has been circulating about SEGA of Japan’s interest in bringing Project Diva Arcade (or some version of it) to select home consoles, and they have opened a poll on their own DIVA.NET site to gauge interest from fans.

The idea is intriguing, as SEGA has expressed in the past that they were interested in making a game similar to Project Diva Arcade for the PS4, due to its new touch-enabled controller. But simply porting the full Arcade game to home consoles could negatively impact the popularity of the actual arcade units. So SEGA might be considering some other kind of idea.

Many sites seem to have excluded how to vote from their own news publications, so we’re happy to help with that. Please note that voting requires a DIVA.NET account (which requires proper registration with your Project Diva Arcade card). There is a 300vp reward for completing the survey. Voting ends April 24th (JST)!

The Good Smile Company x Piapro collaboration for Snow Miku 2016 has begun! That means you can now submit your designs for not only next year’s official Snow Miku design, but her pet rabbit Yukine as well (yes, even he’s returning again!).

The design theme for submissions this year is “Enjoying Hokkaido Winter Sports“. Winter sports are popular in Hokkaido, so it’s the perfect theme to help spread that bit of extra cheer next year. A required design element is a “Knitted Cap” for Snow Miku’s design, so don’t forget this!

The designs for Snow Miku 2016 and Yukine are to be submitted separately, if you decide to try submitting designs for both. A design template for Snow Miku is provided, which are required for use for this year’s submissions. Yukine has no template, so you are free to think of unique poses.

Snow Miku Design Template:

A recent promotional video shows the flight attendants of Japan Airlines (JAL) dancing to the popular Hatsune Miku song “39” in cheer style outfits, to help promote their participation at the upcoming Niconico Chokaigi event later this month.

The support and love for Hatsune Miku from a company as large as JAL is certainly something to see, and they’ve definitely attracted the interest of the Vocaloid community demographic. They will be be offering a “flight simulator” activity, along with the chance of a stepcar photo (this is a thing?) at the event. I wonder if we’ll ever see a Hatsune Miku itasha jumbo jet?

Niconico Chokaigi will take place between April 25th and 26th at the Makuhari Messe International Exhibition Center in Chiba.
