IO DATA Japan has announced they will be collborating with Hatsune Miku to create a special themed version of their CDReco smartphone optical drive, called the “MIKUReco”. The drive is planned to be made first available at Magical Mirai 2019 in Osaka and Tokyo. The product design is still yet to be revealed, but should be made available soon.

The CDReco is a smartphone enabled optical disk drive that is able to copy music CDs directly to your smartphone via cable or wifi, depending on which model you choose. No PC is required! We’re unsure which version the Miku edition will be based on, but we’d have to guess it would be the wired version. We’ll have to wait and see!

Hatsune Miku: Magical Mirai 2019 will take place at Osaka from August 9th~11th, and Tokyo from August 31st ~ September 1st.

We’ve been wondering if these Hatsune Miku gaming accessories would ever see the light of day! It appears the Hatsune Miku gaming accessories by TSUKUMO and Thermaltake, seen at their “Hatsune Miku game room” exhibit at Niconico Chokaigi, will be coming to market!

TSUKUMO’s store magazine “99magazine” was recently updated to detail the newly announced laptop collaboration, but it also reveals that the Miku themed chair and PC case will be made available sometime soon. The magazine also shows silhouettes for headphones, keyboard and a mouse planned for a future announcement. The exact release details are still unclear, so keep watching for updates!

For live photos of these accessories in action, check out Thermaltake’s tweet below from their Niconico Chokaigi exhibit!

As a finishing touch, both models feature the iconic “01” engraving on their right temples.
