Official Goods Announced


The first batch of official goods contains 7 new items: A shopping bag with art by iXima and bob, full graphic T-shirt with art by Apapico, basic T-shirt with art by iXima, pen light featuring art by iXima, pen light sleeve set with art by Murakami Yuichi, pen light holder with art by CHRIS, and a 6 color muffler towel. Workshop & Creative Stage Updates


A special miniature Miku nanoblock kit will be available at the Workshop area of Magical Mirai for 500 yen. This set is limited and exclusive to this event! Additionally, the creative stage events will feature 3 different Vocaloid creators on September 2nd and 3rd. Apapico will host an art coloring session from 1:30 PM~3:30 PM on September 2nd, Saitou Naoki will host a “making of” art session from 11:30~12:30 on September 3rd, and monica:factory will be hosting a music composition and tips session from 4:00 PM~5:00 PM on September 3rd.

A Cosplayer Show will take place September 2nd from 11:30~12:30, where cosplaying participants can have a chance to show off and talk their favorite points of cosplay on stage! The event will be hosted by producer Nyanyannya. More info on participation will be announced later. Next, a video creators show will be hosted by none other than the popular Hatsune Miku video creators MasatakaP and Kasoku Satou! The show will be held September 3rd at 1:30~2:20.

Lastly, a talk session by Crypton Future Media staff will review the topic of Hatsune Miku’s overseas expansion, through events such as MIKU EXPO. The session will be hosted by Hiroyuki Itoh, Guillaume Devigne and Meguro Kumiko.

Music Area Info

A “huge cake object” is being prepared for display, along with the first ever life-sized statues of Kagamine Rin and Len! Also planned is a special screening and art gallery for the PV “Sand Planet”, the official Magical Mirai 2017 theme song. The following activities will also be available in the music area:

– Musical Instrument Experience Corner hosted by YAMAHA: Experience instruments like Saxophones and Violins for the first time!
– VOCALOID Booth hosted by YAMAHA: Will introduce new Vocaloid products for the first time, and showcase previously popular products.
– Enterprise Development: Get closer to the world of music production. Exhibited by various music companies.
– Karent & SONOCA Corner: Exhibition corner of Crypton Future Media’s music label KarenT and their smart music card SONOCA.

DJ Stage Lineup

Besides the ticketed DJ Live event that wasn’t open to overseas applicants, there will be Free Viewing DJ live events throughout the duration of Magical Mirai! Anyone can join the free viewing area at any time to enjoy the performances, granted there’s room to join. Here’s the lineup:

39 Vocaloid Producers Announced For Hatsune Miku: Magical Mirai 2017’s Creators Market

The list of participating Vocaloid producers for this year’s Creators Market at Hatsune Miku: Magical Mirai has been announced, with no-less than 39 different producers! This makes the number of participating artists nearly 4X larger than last year. The Creators Market is a dedicated section of the Magical Mirai exhibition where you can meet various Vocaloid producers in-person and show your support by buying their albums from their own tables!

Several Hatsune Miku: Magical Mirai 2017 News Updates Announced Via MXTV Broadcast

More details regarding the upcoming Hatsune Miku: Magical Mirai 2017 event were announced during a Tokyo MX television broadcast, and reveals some exciting new concert details and exhibition attractions. Here’s the rundown of the updates!

  1. There will be partially different concert setlists for each of the 3 days of the concert.
  2. The concert requires 50% more CG animation than normal, due to the daily changing setlists.
  3. Something about “old Miku(s) making an appearance” (using old models, perhaps?)
  4. Illustrator APA will be hosting drawing teaching sessions.
  5. There will be an exhibit of Crypton’s “R3” animation technology (a form of real-time motion capture).
  6. An all-new life-sized Miku statue is in production for display at the event.
  7. Mobile and desktop wallpapers can be downloaded after completing questionnaires at the event.

Hatsune Miku: Magical Mirai Website Update Announces Return of Creators Market, Bigger Than Ever!

Due to the incredible feedback from last year’s Magical Mirai, it has been announced that the “Creators Market” section of the exhibition will be making its return, and bigger than ever!

Last year’s Creators Market area of the exhibition allowed fans to buy music directly from creators featured on Crypton’s KarenT music label. This gave the fans a chance to meet producers such as ATOLS, Yunosuke, Misumi, risou and more in person!


 
Magical Mirai’s announcement says they plan to expand the Creators Market area to introduce even more producers. Mitchie M seemed a little excited and also shared the news, so perhaps we can expect him to make an appearance at the event?

Hatsune Miku: Magical Mirai 2017 Live Event Ticket Applications Now Open Overseas!

Get ready, overseas fans! Applications are now open (April 22nd) for live event tickets to Hatsune Miku: Magical Mirai 2017!

Each person can apply for up to 2 tickets per show, with 5 shows total. Seating options include the chance of SS or S section seating. Ticket applications will remain open until May 22nd at 11:59 PM JST. After that, winners of the application will be contacted regarding which seats they have/haven’t won from the random drawing.
