It appears the Tokyo 2020 (now 2021) Olympics will be proceeding as planned for July 23rd, as more and more media outlets are beginning to promote the Olympics event. BBC is getting in on this with their own official trailer, which just happens to feature Hatsune Miku at not just one, but two points in the 67 second trailer.
In the video above, you can first hear Hatsune Miku singing at 0:16~0:24. Kenji Kawai was in charge of the music composition for this commercial, so fans may recognize the hints at some of their other music works! Finally, there’s a Racing Miku 2017: Team Ukyo Cheer ver. prize figure from BANPRESTO is visible on the shelf at 0:42 in the trailer.
Doesn’t that look familiar?
We’re wondering in what other ways Hatsune Miku might play a role on the upcoming Olympics, and we can’t wait to what’s possibly in store!
A software update for Hatsune Miku NT and Piapro Studio NT has been released today, finally bringing us the missing Whisper and Dark vocal libraries that were promised. The update also fixes some bugs, and adds some new functionality to help streamline the user experience. Check out the patch notes below!
Hatsune Miku NT v1.0.0.7 Update
Hatsune Miku NT Dark+ and Hatsune Miku Whisper+ libraries added.
There’s now an ability to correct the length of consonants according to the phrase and melody you’ve typed in.
Optimized articulation of phoneme transitions in some situations.
To download this update, you will need to login to your sonicwire account and check your purchased product licenses for the updater ZIP files.
If you have not yet purchased Hatsune Miku NT, you can download or opt for a retail package version of the software from the following pages:

Piapro Studio NT v3.0.3.4 Update
Now supports the newly added Hatsune Miku NT Dark+ and Hatsune Miku Whisper+ libraries.
Fixed an issue where editing the pitch of consonants with some phonetic symbols was not possible.
Fixed an issue where the portamento parameters were not saved.
Fixed an issue in the plugin version where it freezes on playback after loading a ppsf file with a different tempo than the host.
CFM notes that improvements in processing speed are being worked on for a future update, notably where processing loads become heavier as the song becomes longer.
The Piapro Studio NT v3.0.3.4 update is installed at the same time as the Hatsune Miku NT v1.0.0.7 update, so there’s no need for a separate installer.
Hatsune Miku Tycoon is a mobile platform card game based on the Japanese card game Daifugo, but with some added some charm featuring Hatsune Miku and her friends.
The game supports single player and local multiplayer through bluetooth (Note there is no online play function). New Player Tip: If you’re curious about the rules of the game, there’s a rulebook available in the game’s settings menu.
The results of the Hatsune Miku Magical Mirai 2021 song contest on Piapro have been announced! One grand prize winner and five runner-up winners were selected. You can listen to the samples in the YouTube video above, or the full songs from the list below! You can also check out their other works from the provided VocaDB links, if available.

Some big updates regarding Hatsune Miku Magical Mirai 2021 were posted to the official site, which covers the new main visual artwork, theme song, even ticket info and more! Here’s a quick recap of the announcements from June 21st. *Please note that overseas tickets are not being made available due to the ongoing pandemic situation in Japan.*
Main Visual by left
The theme of Magical Mirai 2021 is “Fairy Tale Fantasy“, with the main visual art being designed and drawn by left. Their participation in this year’s event also marks their first collaboration with [email protected] in 10 years. The artwork has a very floral and mythical atmosphere. There’s some concept sketches with costume details for those wanting to draw their own fanart, or even design a cosplay!
Well recognized in the Hatsune Miku fan community, [email protected] is likely a welcome addition by many to the list of Magical Mirai theme song composers. A 15 second teaser CM for the event has been uploaded, featuring a segment of the theme song “Hatsune Creation Myth” playing in the background. We’ll have to wait a while longer for the release of the full song!
