Sometimes Vocaloid producers use the most unexpected and unconventional tools to create artworks or music videos. A recent tweet by Vocaloid producer Sasakure.UK reveals that the widely recognized music video for “Hello Planet” used art assets made almost entirely in Microsoft Paint.

The surprise announcement came due to news of Microsoft announcing that they plan to remove MS Paint from Windows 10 this Fall, after being included in every version of Windows for the past 32 years. After hearing the public feedback, Microsoft said they will provide the application again via Microsoft Store download.

Knowing this special detail behind the production of Hello Planet’s music video makes us further appreciate just how much work went into making such a memorable masterpiece. You can watch the music video from Sasakure.UK’s official channel below!
