Thanks to news releases by SEGA today at the Sofmap Amusement Hall in Akihabara (as part of their Project Diva X demo tour across Japan), we finally know the identity of the mystery Nendoroid Co-de design: The figure is based on the “ハツネミク” (referred to as Hatsune Miku OP ver. in the West) outfit from the original Project Diva game on PSP. Miku in this outfit was the first thing you saw in the game’s opening video, and has since been featured in two additional PSP games (and their Dreamy Theater counterparts for PS3), and Project Diva Arcade. Preorders for the Nendoroid Co-de Miku ver. will begin in Spring 2016, with shipments likely due in Summer 2016.

What is Nendoroid Co-de?

“Nendoroid Co-de is a new addition to the Nendoroid series based on the theme of dressing-up characters! The figures have fixed poses and each come with four parts – the head, upper garment, lower garment and shoes. Each of these parts can be swapped between characters allowing for all sorts of possibilities. The more you collect, the more dress-up options become available to you!” Via Good Smile

Along with the Nendoroid, SEGA mentioned the launch dates of several new arcade prizes. Premium prize figures based on Miku and Rin’s “Gumdrop” outfits from the song “Colorful Drop” in Projecty Diva F 2nd are due for release in March 2016. They look great together as a pair, so try to get both! Character screen cleaning pads and also a bath towel are scheduled for launch in April 2016. These prizes can be found in Arcades across Japan, or from various auction/re-seller sites.

SEGA also announced a -DAIBA de DIVA- X celebration event to accompany the launch of Project Diva X on PlayStation Vita’s launch on March 24th. Located at the Tokyo Joypolis entertainment venue, “DAIBA de DIVA” events transform the venue into a sort of Hatsune Miku themed park. Miku themed rides, foods, prizes and Project Diva game demos can be expected, and perhaps some small-scale Hatsune Miku concert events, or live DJs. More details due later. The event ends on April 24th.

The next update for Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA X has arrived today! This update involves the Free Play mode, Live Edit mode, and five new songs. We’ll start off with the Free Play mode, also known as the new title for the classic Rhythm Game mode we’re all familiar with.

The Free Play mode behaves similarly to the rhythm game in previous titles, and contains music, stages, modules, and accessories unlocked via the Live Quest mode. There are a few key details to be noted regarding this mode: Module Drop do not occur, Modules’ skills do not apply their effects, Module transformation toggle option is available, and Help & Challenge items are included as part of the feature.

In the Live Edit mode, players are opened to full customization options in creating a rhythm game or a video, including the choices for songs, stages, modules, setting different camera angles, lighting, etc. Please note that the Live Edit mode will come separately as a free DLC available on PlayStation store for PS Vita due to its massive size.

Below are the five new songs and their modules, including the opening theme song by ryo(supercell).
